Surprisingly Tasty!!
Contrary to what other reviewers have said I've found these to be quite refreshing. The instructions say 2 every 20 minutes during vigorous exercise in the heat. That sounded a lot and friends have expressed concern at the volume I'm consuming (when exercising vigorously in the heat) but my nausea, cramping and light headedness I used to suffer from doesn't happen anymore. I can also drink as much water as I feel I need to without worrying about over hydrating. I'm using these for trail Marathon training in desert conditions. Also. The packaging... Its not that bad. But I read somewhere that they use the wrapping that they do because its biodegradable.

Great product in awful packaging
These little guys seem to really replenish the electrolytes I lose while sweating in the desert. They taste quite bad but that’s OK. I just pop something else in my mouth with them (like jelly beans). My complaint is the packaging – almost impossible to get them unwrapped without littering tiny bits of foil. I quit buying them…

Good electrolyte solution

I bought these on a whim, and I’m impressed! The lemon-lime ones taste like intense Sweetarts. I liked them the first time I tasted them, and I got used to the taste by the second or third time I tried them and didn’t find them as intense. I’m not a runner or endurance athlete, but I like to go hiking when it’s hot and I sweat a lot. Four of these tablets (two servings) is a little more than the amount of sodium and potassium in 16 ounces of Gatorade, but without all the sugar (and flavors and colors, if you care about such things). I definitely can tell when I need electrolytes, and can tell that these meet that need!

Amazing results

I'm a bit of a skeptic about electrolyte supplements but I was on a hike tonight in reasonably warm weather (low 90s) and, just as we got back to the parking lot one of the hikers collapsed from leg cramps. I gave her a couple of these tablets—which she chewed and took with some water. Within minutes she was feeling better and back on her feet. As a result, I think these have earned a permanent place in my backpack.

Good-bye Charlie-Horse

These are amazing and a must-buy when outdoors. Always keep a pack in my bag for “just-in-case” situations. Helps a lot to prevent me from having Charlie-Horses.

Good course of electrolytes

Taste good and don’t upset my stomach. The recommended dose is 2 tablets every 15-20 minutes. I found that to be very excessive and it caused me to drain my water bladder very quickly as I was extremely thirsty from all of the sodium I had put in my body, which made my stomach sloshy by the end of my hike. I found that taking 1 every half hour was a better rate of consumption for me.

Great results, terrible taste

I read a lot of reviews about these chews before buying, so I was not expecting these to taste great. But I didn't expect to be gagging these down 2 hours into a long run. I'm not too picky and I don't need GREAT tasting products. But dang, these were tough to swallow. Now, taste aside, these are SUPER effective. They satiated my usual salt cravings during my long run and I felt strong all the way to the end. I may end up trying the salt caps (no chewing) even though those would not be so fast acting. All in all, I do think the bad taste is worth it. If you sweat a lot, or experience heat stress during your longer workouts, these are worth a try.

Great electrolyte supplements for long runs

Love these (orange flavor). It's a bit tart, but it's perfect for long runs or hikes, to prevent dehydration and cramping. I take one about every 30-40 minutes (usually for runs over 90 minutes). Small and easy to fit in a handheld or vest, they're ideal to supplement training or race day fuel. I usually have these and nuun on me at all times :)

Love these!

Love that you can just chew the salt tablets and not have to mix them in your water! I have been using these for years to keep myself adequately replacing my electrolytes, especially on hot days or when carry a heavy backpacking pack. Personally feel the green apple tabs are nasty but the peach and mixed berry tabs I really enjoy. Also find for general hiking uses the dosage information/suggestion is a little too aggressive. Find that 2 tabs at the start of hike and 1-2 every 45 minutes to hour works best for me. Of course this is just based on my general experience and not an expert recommendation

Helped me finish my h8ke

I bought these as a whim. The summer was hot and I had heard that sometimes you need extra electrolytes because of heavy exertion. During a very hard and hot hike, I got crippling leg cramps. (I've never had that happen before.) I remembered I had the tablets and took them as directed. The cramps went away in just a short time. I was able finish my hike. I will always carry them again.
