KUHL  Spyfire Down Jacket - Women's

I just received this jacket today. Looks really great on, a little snug but with most KUHL clothes, you always need to order up. I was worried about the size but they only had a M available so I took the chance and ordered it since it was on sale. I am 5'4 143 pounds, it fits fine but I think if I was wearing a heavy sweater it might be a bit too tight. Looking forward to wearing it during hikes and slightly cooler temps. It will be perfect to pack, won't take up too much room. I am a little concerned after reading the previous review about the feathers coming out...hope that won't happen.

I picked this out as my Christmas present from my husband! Love this down jacket because it is soft, lightweight, packable, and warm. I chose the blue color because it goes well with blue jeans, nice medium shade, not dark and practical because it looks clean after many wearings. I like the slenderizing trim and the stand up collar, perfect to keep wind and cold out. Slanted pockets zip for safety and convenience. Highly recommend the Spyfire Down Jacket - I may buy one in another color!

I really wanted to give this item a 5 star , but the feathers keep coming out! First I bought the parka and it was just perfect until it started shedding so I took it back because it was just too expensive to keep it. Then I bought this jacket . Comfortable, light weight, warm everything I needed for the cold weather, then again it started with a tiny hole and feathers coming out, I'm going to keep it becausei still like the jacket and I did buy it on sale.

This down jacket is very lightweight, but provides great warmth. The fit is good and the styling makes it very appealing as well. I've worn it almost every day for the last month on days that sometimes never get out of the 20's. With a base layer underneath, I feel very insulated from the cold. On days where it warms up a little, the lightweight aspect makes it great to wear with just a T-Shirt. Not too hot and not too cool. Can't go wrong with this choice if shopping for a jacket.

For a lightweight jacket, it does a pretty good job of keeping me comfortable on a cold day, even a windy one. The fit is comfortable, and I'm very pleased with the length of the sleeves. (I will say, though, that if you are average height you will think the sleeves are too long.) I am 5'11, 185 lbs and got an XL. Fits perfect.

Everything I wanted and more Toasty warm but easily packed. Lost a few feathers when I first started wearing it but seems to have sorted its self out.

Perfect fit and very comfortable! Keeps me warm without being bulky.

Very happy with this. Lightweight, nice fit. Size S works well for my 5'4" 115 lb frame. Can easily wear other stuff under it. Several zip pockets including interior. Didn't realize it has a patterned lining but it's fine. Also doesn't come with a little pouch for packing but may be able to get it to go into one of the zip pockets. I have a small compression packing bag I'll use with it when I need to for travel. Green color is good - not too bright.

Kuhl is an outdoor adventure company, known for his exceptional engineering of products. They totally missed the mark on this one by forgetting to include a cinch at the waist to preserve heat and to keep the cold out. It is a basic feature on all outdoor adventure apparel I own. This is being returned.

Great looking jacket. So happy I chose the blue color as it is not a "shocking" blue but will be a nice "pop" in the winter months. Khul design always perfect....down is not overwhelming and will be interested to see how warm it keeps me in the winter....worth the purchase!
