Wearing them everywhere since my purchase.
I knew I loved the style but was so happy when I wore them out of the store in Seattle and up a good hill to get home...they were very comfortable right out of the box. As I do with al my leather shoes, I use a light coating of mink oil hand applied with a rag for water resistance and stain prevention and so far so good and the weather here is testing them for wet conditions. I want to buy the mens thermal series for my son to wear at his East coast college as the waterproofed leather/elastic, thermal lining, and sealed seams will make them perfect for walking to classes in the real winter they have in Maine.
Disappointed in the quality for the price.
I bought these boots a year ago and they are already damaged to the point of being unwearable.
Love My Blundstone's from Texas!
Most comfortable boots I own. Have worn cowboy boots for years but need more cushion. The 550's are great and very happy with them. I own 3 pairs now. This pair was a 10.5 from REI US and they fit great. Evidently this converts to a 9.5 AUS. My two other pairs I ended up with are 10 from REI US that converts to a AUS 9. I am told the only difference in a AUS 9 and AUS 9.5 is the width. The length looks and feels the same and not much wider in my opinion in the .5 option. I normally wear a 11 Nike running show and the 10 US Blundstone works great for me. The soles have the size molded into the sole of the shoe and it's in AUS.

Yet nothing has come close to Blundstone's! Over a decade of looking for the right boot for work and play, I even wear these biking around town, not that I would recommend you do so. Nevertheless, this has seriously shrunk my shoe pile. I work in the construction industry, and so far, 5 months of every day use 12+ hours a day; I love them! In and out of houses, shoes on shoes off, Chelsea style slip-on boots are a must. I may get a second pair to do the mid-day swap with different insoles to keep things fresh
Awesome unisex boots
FYI - almost all Blundstone styles are unisex. I wanted a color other than what’s offered for ladies so I figured out what AU size I am using the women’s size guide and ordered that size in “men’s”. They fit great and are super comfy for daily wear right out of the box. I typically wear a women’s 10 reg and I went with AU size 7. I also have a pair of the women’s heeled boots and those I needed the half size extra for more width (these fit much roomier than those - those needed a lot of breaking in for fit). Highly recommend! If you see a color you like, check the sizing! You can easily determine which boots are women-specific, everything else is fair game!
High Recommend - Wonderful Boot
I purchased these with the intention of replacing my Sorel's, a boot that I wore with long dresses at evenings at theatre to a casual trip to the grocery store. It has been that much and more! I enjoy having the pull on straps, the quality leather, and the style/look. I ended up sizing up - I typically wear a women's 8.5 and chose the 9 for the room for toe length (not necessary width). REI provided a great exchange experience, by the way. I also have replaced the extra insoles for better quality ones. The insoles fill the bit of the width gap and provides the perfect fit. These are highly comfortable. I look forward to buying other colors! Thanks, REI!
READ FOR SIZING HELP
Alright alright alright...So, I stumbled on the perfect size on accident. I'm normally an 11.5 in Nike, Vans, Salomon etc. Apparently they run a size smaller and per their own website and the .5 sizes only mean *MORE WIDTH *NOT MORE LENGHT. I ordered my original size without reading anything (11.5 US) and REI sent me the equivalent size in AUS which was a 10.5. They somehow fit perfectly. Order your true size (add .5 if you want wider fit)
Don’t make them like they used to
I bought these to replace another pair of Blundstones that I wore for years. For this new pair, the quality has declined, and they are much tighter and make my feet hurt. I have worn them for a couple months now, hoping this would improve. They stretched out a bit, but not enough to fit both an insert and my foot. I can’t walk in them for more than an hour without my feet hurting, and I used to wear these all day every day for work. A huge disappointment as I’ve been wearing Blundstones for years. I returned them to REI to go up a size but unfortunately I can’t return them a second time, so these $200+ boots will sit in my closet and go to waste. Do not waste your money on these.
Great All-Rounder
Just came back from 10 days in Montana. My Blundstones were the only shoes I brought. They handled everything from slushy mud at Big Sky to snowy icy trails at Yellowstone. They were brilliant: Grippy, warm, and dry. They probably weren’t designed with this use in mind, but I didn’t once think I should have brought another pair of shoes.
The only boots worth having
I was skeptical about these boots. However, I have had my Rustic Black Blundstones Since September 2019. I'm a National Parks guide. I have worn these boots just about everyday during work, and days off. They are the most comfortable and durable pair of shoes I've ever had. I wore these during heavy snow and rain. My feet never got cold or wet. They are not very good for hiking however because theres no lacing so your feet may shift around a bit. They're easy to care for. I brush them every now and then. I also apply Mink oil to make sure the leather doesn't dry out. It also keeps them water repellent. I just bought a pair for my daughter who lives up in Canada. She loves them as well, because they keep her feet warm and dry in snowy conditions.
