the original
I've been using Stan's since it came out over ten years ago. Works great, it is not a miracle cure all to prevent all flats. It works better than the other brands I've tried, including orange seal and slime. Sometimes you just get a big gash that it wont fix, that's life. In that case I use a tubeless plug or put in a tube for the remainder of the ride. It sure beats fixing flats all the time, I get one maybe once or twice a season.
Pioneer of tire sealants
The only one I use on all my tubeless setups since day one and still 100% satisfied.
Mountain Bike
This is a great product and seals punctures quickly.
Stan's left me with a hot mess!
My bike came equipped with tubeless tire ready wheels. When the original tires wore out I replaced them with tubless tires which were great for about the first 500 miles. Tubeless tires are extremely difficult to get on a road bike rim and just about as hard to get off in the event of a flat. I had a very small (less than 1/4") sidewall cut right near the rim. Stans would NOT seal this leak. So there I am on the side of the road with traffic whizzing by and I struggled mightily to get that tire off the rim. Finally I got it off and now I'm stuck with a tire full of white juice that I have to try to clean out before putting a tube in. Now comes the hard part - getting that tubeless tire back on the rim with the tools I had on hand. I couldn't get it done and finally had to phone a friend to come get me! If you're thinking of using this stuff with road tires take my advice. Do. Not. Do. It! Stan's will let you down when you need it.
Great sealant
Great sealant for the price, first time running tubeless with this sealant and have not gotten a flat in 1 year. Riding about 1-3 times a week on trails in San Diego.
Good quality sealant.
Sealant worked great. I haven't had a flat since I used this sealant. The 32oz size is more than enough for the average rider.
One and done
Great product sealed up tight . I would buy it again .
