Yakima  60" CoreBars - Pair

These are certainly adequate and I see no reason to go with the Jetstream for the extra cost. They seam to flex more the the round bars I had on my truck, but that may part of the engineering.

I guess the wind is enough to crack the plastic on these bars...

Sorry, can't give a positive review for a product that should be more durable than this. They are delaminating all over. Time to see how the warranty is.

Great Bars for our Subaru. However, within four months the plastic coating cracked but Yakima send us another pair to replace it.

I bought these bars to mount my big three person canoe on for road trips to go fishing. They seem really sturdy and tough. I drove around a bit before actually putting the canoe up there and they are pretty quiet. I think they are a much better option than the ones that were an option to add on from the dealer.

Replaced a pair of 50" bars with these 60" bars to add more space for attachments. Had them swapped out in five minutes and another ten minutes of fiddling to get the measurements perfect.

Solid roof rack bars. Been using them on my 1 ton truck for a couple of years. Just added them to the wife's SUV. Unbeatable.

The CoreBars, which I installed on a 2026 Forester Limited Hybrid, make for a very sturdy rack. 60" works well with this Forester model, which is a little wider than previous models. With 60", I can fit a canoe with two kayaks leaning against it on their sides. The hollow cores of the bars had the advantage for me of accommodating the Yakima BoatLoader EVO, which telescopes out from the bar for easier loading--BUT be aware that Yakima doesn't make this handy device anymore, and it's out of stock almost everywhere that once carried it. I lucked out and found one. The CoreBars go with Yakima's TimberLine towers, attached by means of an oval-shaped ring that screw into the tower. It was murderously difficult to install this combination--nearly impossible to tighten it to the requisite three "clicks" of the torque screwdriver, and this is called for at two separate points on each of the four towers. I had a big problem with the oval-shaped rings. I had to return my initial purchase of bars and their adapter set because all of the adapters were too tight a fit. The replacement set of bars and adapters worked, but only three of the four adapters slid along the bar as was needed--for the fourth, I had to use drops of Dawn in water to lubricate the bar and a rubber mallet to whack the adapter far enough along the bar. Bottom line: I was unhappy with the installation process and the fact the parts didn't fit well together, but the end result seems to be good.
