Exactly what I needed to replace an old hose
This is the exact length you will need for replacing an old hose. However if you have a quick detach in your hose; then you will need to cut this. If you're struggling to either remove the old hose or install the new one; remember to heat it up with a blow dryer and then it should go on/come off easier.

Tastes Like Chemicals
I ordered this to replace a soft blue silicone hose that came with my Platypus, because it had a disgusting taste of plastic that never went away no matter what I did (I tried soap, vinegar, baking soda, ritual sacrifice, etc.). This is actually worse than what it replaced. I'm giving up on drinking reservoirs.

Inside diameter too small

I had a very difficult time pushing the hose onto the mouth piece and, on the other end, to the attachment on the hydration reservoir, even using a hair dryer several time to soften the ends of the hose. I never could get the hose completely pushed on, but it is tight enough that neither end seems to leak. In addition, I purchased the Osprey reservoir cleaning kit which comes with a brush for cleaning the hose. The inside diameter of the hose is so tight that the brush cannot be inserted all the way into the hose; likewise, it is so hard to withdraw the brush that I am afraid the brush will break. The inside diameter of the hose has to be smaller than the original one that came on my Osprey.

Doesn't fit old style osprey hydration packs

I have the old style Osprey hydration pack. I just spent an hour trying to attach this hose. Just doesn't fit. Or else there's a trick to it that neither Osprey nor YouTube is sharing.

When a hydration unit is poorly designed, use this

I bought this to replace the tube the unit comes with because it has a release that comes undone when hiking. Replacing the tube fixed the issue.

Very hard to insert connector

I placed the tube end in very hot water for a couple of minutes, still was unable to insert the connector all the way in.

Pretty short

Hose is very short if your bladder is held inside your bag. It’s ok if you can put it on the outside though. 1/4” was also very small 1/2” would have been better.

Excellent Replacement Hose

This hose is longer than the OEM hose which is fine, because it gives you more choice as to length you need. It is easily cut to whatever length you want. Heating the end, one at a time, with a hair drier assists fitting the end accessories. Take care not to lose the magnet!

About 43 inches long

It's about 43 inches long, 4 inches longer than the stock one I replaced. Hope this helps!
