Positive locking carabiner
The positive locking action greatly reduces the chance of clipping in and the gate not being secured. It is my main tie-in carabiner from climbing rope to harness. I don't know if they are tower certified, but they are not rescue approved. Excellent quality and true craftsmanship.
Trust it with your life
What else can you say? The idiot proof gate means no way this thing is coming open without literally 3 means of action. Push up, twist, pull gate open. It may seem like a bit much, but it is probably your life or someone you care about. So thanks Petzl.
Strong and secure carabiner
The local Guatemalan fire fighters of needed multiples of carabiners for recovery after the volcano Fuego in Guatemala erupted. This was the first carabiner I selected at REI in Baybook, in Texas. Swiftly, I delivered the carabiners and other rappelling equipment to the fire fighters. It was reported by the fire fighters that the carabiners worked well and were very happy with their equipment!
Really nice. Well made
Easy to operate either handed with a little practice. Buy one for your key chain and u will have plenty of practice if u don't get to climb alot.
Easy to use
Great carabiner. Easy to use one handed. I've been slowly replacing the steel biners I use for work with these super sweet aluminum AM'Ds
If you plan to do any serious climbing
A screw-lock carabiner is standard, and they are reliable, but there is always a risk of forgetting. We always double check and 1:20 times we find it wasn’t locked. With an auto locking carabiner it is always locked; you still check but it is more procedural than anything.
Nice
I wouldn’t say that this carabiner is something special, but it gets the job done. It’s very light which is nice and the auto lock is great! All around a great beginner carabiner.
Get Me There
Great quality. I like the extra push-up safety feature. I have sweaty hands so I always have trouble with twist locks. Sweet buy.
EXCELLENT DEVICE
This high tech carabiner is suitable for all venues & situations. It is made from solid components, & will stay intact through everything it encounters. It cannot open unless the user properly deploys it using the 3 required sequences. I'm using it as a makeshift key holder on my belt, & it works very well. I never have to worry about losing keys, or any other attached items. This product is ideal for climbing as well, since that what it is designed for, & treated well, & not abused, will keep people & gear secure.
Dependable Quality
I have been using Petzl carabiners for over 10 years without any issues. The D shape helps with orientation for proper loading. Petzl shaved a couple of grams with the new I beam forging. It's also easier to handle than the old design, especially while wearing gloves.
