Features

  • Lightweight and with a waterjet-formed tube, the Summit Evo offers a very comfortable grip under the head of the axe
  • The technical design of the curved shaft provides the necessary clearance on steep, icy terrain; the lower part is straighter and guarantees efficient penetration in snow
  • Forged and well-balanced head provides very good anchoring qualities
  • Thin (3mm) pick is durable and toothed at the tip, ensuring good anchoring quality in hard snow and ice; pick is thicker in the middle to favor anchoring in soft snow

  • Head and spike equipped with holes for clipping a carabiner or attaching a sling
  • The grip of the shaft makes it a precise and efficient ice axe

Awesome Ice Axe!

This ice axe is awesome! Light and strong makes cutting on ice and hard snow very easy. I use it climbing Mt Shuksan last weekend! I got the 52 cm and was easy to climb steep angle snow with it, highly recommended if you climb steep stuff over 45 degrees.

Most Versatile Axe on the Market

Lightweight, feel is amazing for the pick, easy to self-arrest. Can do some steep ice too and even ice climb some easy things. I've used it for everything. A bit pricey if only doing glacier travel, but if you ever think you'll do more than that, get this axe.

handle too wide

this looked great, however we had to return it, not cause any defects or problem with the axe, just where the handle meets the axe section a bit too wide for small hands. was disappointed, was looking forward to using this. Just would widen my hand more than being comfortable., still would recommend this

Good ice axe for technical stuff

Cool axe, great for technical lightweight climbs. I’ve used it on Bonanza, Forbidden, and Goode here in the Cascades as well as Granite Peak and Mt Owen in Montana and Wyoming. Also, The Moose’s Tooth in Alaska.

Kept me Safe(ish) Across Paintbrush Divide

This was my first ever ice axe experience and it was great. Lightweight but sturdy. It got me through some treacherously snowing passes on the Teton Crest Trail.
