waterproof/windproof running jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest I was a GORE fan, been using their product for years. Gore went out of business and I searched for a replacement. Have use Brooks shoes, decided to give their gear a try. Purchased Brooks' hightpoint jacket and it is the real deal...........light, waterproof, windproof, breathable.......perfect for my power walks...........I might even admit its better than GORE.....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great jacket. I love the way it fits, it’s very form fitting and lightweight. The only thing I wish is that it had pockets on the front. There is only a single pocket on the chest.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here in the Pacific NW, this jacket unlocks running through the winter. It's not *that* breathable, gets hot in there; under 40F all I need is this and a tee.
Amazing Jacket!
Awesome jacket. I wear it everywhere. It's also great in cold weather as it keeps the body heat in! I'm so glad I purchased this jacket!

I’ve used the jacket for running in a heavy rain storm & for a rainy baseball game . In both instances, I was highly satisfied.

That said, the Brooks High Point Waterproof Jacket 2 genuinely impressed me enough to write this. I compared it head-to-head against several high-end rain shells from Arc’teryx, Outdoor Research, Patagonia, and L.L.Bean. What surprised me most is that the Brooks consistently became the jacket I kept reaching for. Why? Because it absolutely nails the balance between:• Lightweight comfort• Breathability• Weather protection• Packability• Everyday practicality A lot of premium shells feel overly technical, bulky, clammy, or too “precious” to just keep stuffed behind the truck seat for real-world use. The High Point 2 feels different. It disappears when you wear it, packs down incredibly small, and still keeps you dry when the weather turns ugly. For someone living in the hot, humidity of Houston, TX conditions where breathability matters just as much as waterproofing, this jacket outperformed expectations.
