These are by far the best shoes for people that use Orthotics. I tried many shoes and ended up coming back to these since these were the first ones I tried. They are nice and deep when you take the insole out and the wide fit is perfect for my bunions. I ended up buying 5 pairs! One for running outside one for the gym, one for work (I’m a nurse), a backup for work, and a backup for the gym haha!!
I bought these less than a month ago. I have repeatedly purchased the Echelon 9s for years. However the 9s are no longer available so I tried the 10s. Within 2 weeks the material around the laces was already peeling off. I believe we need some work on the quality of the shoes as they are new (10s) and hopefully that will be corrected soon. Its a pretty penny to pay for something that is already peeling within 2 weeks. Also the top back of the heel does rub differently than the Echelon 9s did. Its not terrible, but it is noticeable. Overall the comfort is still amazing!
Are you kidding ! I buy at least 4 pairs of these every year . Look at the colors , black black , navy , white , some pinkish cranberry . Where are the neutral colors like charcoal gray !!!! Also yes last year I noticed the back inside of the sneakers starting to tear . I would buy 4 pairs right now if they had light and dark gray .it might be time to move on to another brand . Saucony who are picking out these colors ? Also the white rubber on the sides are way too high . If it ain’t broken don’t change it sorry Saucony’.
I bought my Echelon 10’s about 6 months ago or so. I wear them everyday. I’m on my feet everyday working in the healthcare field. These shoes have come with me as my only shoes to Germany and Austria. Hiking in the Alps, walking on cobblestone, flat surfaces, etc have been a breeze. I also exercise in these outdoor areas asking, gym, riding bikes. I have chronic foot pain and neuropathy and Echelon does not hurt my feet. These are the only shoes I’ve gotten in a while, that I can wear them as they come. I usually have to pull out the insole and put my own in there. With these, I don’t have to do that. Lifesavers for me!
I bought a pair this fall. I normally buy whatever other nurses are recommending for our all day standing/running long shifts. I pulled my first pair off the clearance rack at a high quality shoe store. The shoes were extremely comfortable. I've worn these for many long shifts where my feet remain comfortable and cool my entire shift. Normally my shoes start to feel tight on my big toe and my pinky by the end of shift. Not these!
I am a long time Saucony customer. Finding the Echelon has been a gift for my ability to run comfortably while also being able to fit my custom orthodics in my shoes. The Echelon 10 is a unfortunate disappointment compared with the Echelon 9. It's upper body fabric is cheap, the heel fabric is no longer a smooth cushion but a harsh rough fabric. They also removed the heal loop which was helpful to have when trying to get your feet in shoes with orthodics. Ultimately the shoe still fits my orthodics better than most shoes so I am stuck with this product until they make improvements. My personal opinion is that the design process focused more on how the shoe looks then how it functions. People who are trying to fit orthodics in shoes care more about the fit then the look. I hope the Echelon 11 will be better but until then I am stuck with a less comfortable shoe.
Recently purchased the echelon 10s as my first pair of Saucony’s. I’m obsessed. These are more comfortable than any other sneaker I’ve ever owned.
I don’t run but these make excellent walking shoes. I do a lot of walking every week and my last pair lasted about a year. The insole compresses which is normal and the inside of the heal where your foot slides in starts to wear and look unsightly. I did notice that on the echelon 10 the ankle on the side of the shoe rubs more than the last pair. I’m guessing a slight change in the design made the sides of the opening higher? It’s not so bad that I can’t wear them and I’m hoping that that area will break in a little and no longer be a problem.
This has been my go style for years now. It's the best for my wide flat arthritic feet. The echolon 10 is too tight across my toes causing pain and soreness and the upper material has less "give " than Echelon 9 and below.I The "10" is causing end of day discomfort with the swelling that happens after being on my feet all day.. I buy 2 pairs at a time since I wear them everyday for work and leisure . What a mistake ! It's beyond the refund time and I don't want to buy online again and have to find a new style. Echelon 9 and below has always been the perfect shoe and have received so many compliments on its style and appearance of a well made supportive sneaker.I am so disappointed. Why keep modifying every year when it has always had such great reviews?
