Arc'teryx  Rush Jacket - Men's

I’ve had most of the Arc’teryx gortex shells and this is by far my favorite. I love that it’s longer and baggier than other shells so you can layer accordingly and have mobility. Have used this for skiing and backpacking and has never let me down.

The revised model ticks all the boxes. The fit is roomy but not too baggy and the length is perfect. There are plenty of pockets for storage. The stormhood is the perfect size for wearing over a helmet without visual impairment and layering without feeling restrictive. I have not worn mine in the rain yet but it beads well in snowy conditions. It is very light, you don't even notice you're wearing it. The only thing that could use improvement is the fabric zipper pulls...they could be longer to make them easier to use with gloves on, but aside from this, the Rush is all you could ask for in a ski shell.

Picked one of these shells up on sale a few years ago thinking it would become just a ski shell. In the end I’ve used it now as a primary shell for 3 years spring winter and fall and have found it to be exceptional. Has a great fit and can layer it over any and all of my mid layers. It’s also thick and feels very durable. Pockets are way better than any of the other Arc’teryx shells. The length is excellent. Overall this is an easy 5/5 product. I do sort of wish this fit would be available with a regular size hood. 6’4” - 195 lbs bought size L and the fit is just right for me at least

Barely used this yet, so this is initial impressions only. I bought 'cause it was on deep spring discount, to use as a rain jacket in tropical montane environments (Hawaii), often off-trail and in rough country, and almost always paired with a internal frame pack. It's meant to be a replacement for Alpha SV (which I'll be sending in for warranty repair/replacement). I like that it has more pockets than the Alpha SV. Downside is it seems slightly roomier (which I assume is to allow for layering in a cold snow environment) and the hood only has one adjustment (vs 2 in the Alpha SV), lacking the one at the nape of the neck that helps pull the hood back off your face when not wearing a helmet (which is most of the time for me). All that aside, the build quality and materials feel and look great and I hope I'll get many years of use out of it before I turn it in for a warranty repair or replacement. I'm 5'11", 170 lbs ("athletic build") and bought a medium.

GORE-TEX PRO ePE fabric seems alright but may need remapped in areas. I understand “wetting out” (holding water) doesn’t mean it’s not waterproof but i noticed it wetting out near my cuffs. Which meant wet wrists. I think traditional goretex in those area would solve that. I also don’t mind pfas as I’m wearing my shell over layers not against my bare skin to bed. Pfas exposure in alpine scenarios is negligible. I think Arcteryx must be being driven towards this Epe material for reasons other than it being superior to prior materials. If you guys want to go “healthy” maybe use traditional gore where it counts and epe where it isn’t critical. That way you can still say “we use epe and are anti pfas” and I can have dry wrists in the back country. Other than that, amazing fit. Amazing pocket layout. Complete freedom of movement unde m helmet. I’m 5’6 160lbs with broad shoulders. Size large gives me a relaxed freedom of movement fit. Size medium fits but a little restrictive.

Best in Class for a rugged touring shell. This piece packs down small yet still provides the protection, durability an waterproofing required for a high end splitboarding jacket. While climbing and bootpacking the fit maintains perfect mobility for even the most awkward moves.

I bought this new one mainly to change colors after having my other rush jacket for several years. The zipper changed and two pockets added. As I expected the coat is great and excellent for all weather scenarios.

Excellent design with ample pockets, the zippers are high quality (if zippers jam, skip the track or tear away from the fabric the garment is lost) Fabric is a bit stiff (new jacket) but wind and waterproof

Ce manteau est vraiment bien fait! Ce serait super de songer à offrir le coloris grotoflage! La partie du haut du manteau en grotoglage et le bas beige! Je serais preneur!

Great jacket. It feels much lighter than previous versions I have owned. I think it’s lighter with the same durability that we demand as customers.
