Absolutely love these pants! They are very comfortable yet feel rugged enough for outdoor life like living in the Rockies. Slight stretchiness helps these move with you. DWR works well with great breathability.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They run a bit long, was hoping for a 34x30 but there was no option for that or a Waist size 33. ( I have a purchase of Slim Fit Pants and shorts that are 30x30 that I cannot use since I have gotten bigger I wish there was an exhange program. Worn like 4x total and cant take em to a tailor.)
Don’t usually write reviews but these pants merit it. Bought these pants to wear around town maybe on a trip some day. But wore them on a 5 day backpacking trip on Isle Royale. Wore them 5 days straight back packed in them. They were great. Comfortable no rubbing sound out of them. I sweat a lot!!!! They dried quickly always comfortable. They preformed beyond my expectations. Will buy several more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's my favorite pants for traveling. They've got plenty of room, lots of pockets and plenty pf stretch. They don't bunch up and breathe well. They do t wrinkle and most spills just shake off the fabric. I've got 3 pairs and it's the only pants I take with me. From road trips to traveling abroad you can't go wrong.
Seams on backside popped on the first wear. Very disappointed.
Love these pants - have 4 pairs now. The only thing I'm unsure of why they changed is the small inner back pockets. They used to line the outer side of the larger back pockets on my two older pair, but on the two new pair, the small pockets border the inner edge of the larger back pockets. If you put anything in those small pockets, you're sitting directly on whatever it is which feels terrible on your butt. Small quip, but weird change. In terms of quality and comfort, I love these pants - extremely water-resistant, stretchy, lightweight, and easy to pack while still looking nice. Big fan, pretty much replaced all other chino-style pants I was wearing!
Over all they are great pants and very comfortable. But for me personally I would like to see different sizing options for instance I'm 180lbs and 6'2" tall and the pants came as a 32/32. Which for me I need a 32/34. And for the everywhere pants to be stylish for us tall skinny guys they would have to come in a 32x34. I would also like to see the front pockets have a little larger opening to them. If I am carrying my knife it the front main pocket which is just a Milwaukee box cutter for work. I cant fit my hand in the pockets very easily. But other than that if the standard sizes will fit you, buy them they are great pants
I’m 5’11”, 185, and I strength train. Size 32 fits great. They’re stretchy and techy without looking geeked out with extra seams etc.—in/out convertible drawstring (genius, skip the belt), RFID card pockets (great for when you don’t need the whole wallet, or for hotel room key cards), thigh phone pocket (though I usually only use it on planes as it’s a great, accessible yet out of the way spot for your phone while seated). Low key but good looking, super comfy, my fave pants by far (have 2 pairs plus a pair of the shorts and the ultralight pants). Highly recommend, and you can trust me even though I’m not a real doctor!
I just took delivery of pair number five (pic only shows 4, 1 is being washed). At this point, I'm not a customer — I'm a shareholder in 686 Ent. I've tried lots of "technical pants" out there and nothing comes close to 686. These are the perfect crossover between performance and everyday wear. They move with you whether you're at a desk all day, running errands, or getting after it on the weekends.
I really, really do love these pants. Great fit, features, and love the way they feel. I'm giving it a 3/5 stars because I've purchased 3 pairs of these pants. Of those 3, 2 have had "pocket sewing errors". In one pair of the lined ones I got,the front right pocket is stitched to something around in the back. I can't use the pocket and it feels like I have a rope squeezing around the back of my leg. I have to push the front pocket backwards in order for it to even be somewhat comfortable to wear. In the other pair, the front left pocket is stitched to the bottom of another pocket. In this case, 2 or of 3 IS bad. Whatever QC they use isn't cutting it. For the price, this stuff shouldn't be happening.
