Thanks for asking, Osprey, but no I don’t like my new Daylite Sling
As I have 4 Osprey backpacks of various volumes and all of them brilliantly designed and comfortable, I expected the Daylite Sling to be the same so removed all the tags before I’d tried out the bag with contents. Foolish me. Be warned, ladies, it is not designed for anyone with a bust. I tried wearing the cross strap high - and the top of a breast takes uncomfortable weight pushing down; i tried wearing the cross strap long and low and the underside of a breast takes uncomfortable weight pushing up. I cannot find a way of using this bag comfortably. I can’t return it as I removed and threw away all the labels so it’s going to the charity shop marked “Man’s bag”. On the positive side, it’s beautifully made.
The layout of the bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The layout of the bag is great. I like the way the pockets are organized, but I can't say I am impressed with the quality. I ordered this bag then sent it back because the stitching was terrible, looked very sloppy. I received a replacement and it was marginally better. The zippers are difficult to open as of now, maybe they will break in over time. I also own the Patagonia Atom8, the quality on that bag is much better, but I do not like the layout. If only the Osprey had the same level of quality it would be perfect.
I'm liking this updated version
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm liking this updated version of the Daylite Sling Shoulder Bag. I have an earlier generation of this same bag. I like the additions they made to it like the pocket on the shoulder strap. I like the fact that this version is more water repellent than my current older model. Overall I like the improvements they made and would recommend this if this is the type of bag you are looking for. It is compact so don't expect it to carry much. It'll carry just the basic daily outing items. Keys, wallet, snacks, etc.
Nice!
I’m a sucker for good Osprey bags. I was so excited when I saw both of these colors in this season’s new bags. Entirely possible that I splurged on multiple items within the colorway and have zero regrets. I purchased this one in brown and both the fabric and color are so, so good. The pics don’t do it justice. I love it so much, I’ll likely swing for the grey as well. Both will get plenty of use for years to come.
Very Nice Sling Bag
This is a very nice, smaller sling bag. The material and color is very unique and looks great. It’s very comfortable to wear, and even though it’s small, I can still fit my 11” iPad in it. I do wish that the front pocket zipped down a little further, and it would be nice if there was a small pocket inside of the front pocket. But, still very nice and has quickly become my favorite sling bag.
Great Travel Addition
Just back from a 2 weeks holiday, was a great little addition to walking the dogs, amazing what this can carry room to carry the dogs essentials, water bottle, collapsable bowl, treat, bags etc. Its been used daily over the last 2 weeks, even met someone with the same pack and we compared notes and how much we used the sling, its my go to travel buddy.
Great little pack
Have not had much chance to use it yet, however it has enough space for a Camelbak and shell, or light fleece. It has an impressing back pad and the material seems very good and the weather proofing is an advantage over all competitors. This is just what I wanted before going over to a rucksack.
Great Travel Bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as a light and convenient bag for day trips. It surprising holds lots of your stuff. It’s lightweight comfortable and great that it was also waterproof. Would definitely recommend
