[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had these pants for a few weeks now and have worn them both casually and for hiking. The fit is true to size — they’re comfortable around the waist and crotch, and they stay put when you move. I really like the deep side pockets; they’re perfect for holding essentials without feeling bulky. That said, the fabric is stiffer than I expected. They’re fine when you’re standing or hiking, but sitting for long periods isn’t as comfortable as I’d like. I wish the legs had a bit more stretch or flexibility. If you’re looking for something rugged and long-lasting, these definitely hold up — they feel very durable. But if comfort and lightweight fabric are your top priorities, you might want to check out another style.
These pants are replacing some of the same pants I previously purchased due to losing some weight. Went from 38” to 36” waist. I’ve worn these particular style of Columbia pants for several years now. They’re light, comfortable and very utilitarian. I see myself buying more replacements in the future. I also purchased a coople pair of shorts that are basically a shorts version of these very same pants. I particularly like the zippered pocket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These seem to be a bit sturdier than the older ROC pants I own, but their material appears to be sturdier. That should translate to long-term durability out on the trail and on the town. Could be a little roomier in the thighs, but the stretch material makes up for it though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the pants are we made. They were fairly comfortable after the first wash. The issue I have was that over time, they have gradually shrunk and now 4 months after purchasing them, the pants are too small.
