Practical
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this cot from Coleman and Influenster for testing purposes and my honest review. The cot took 11 minutes to assemble, and the most difficult part was exuding the end corners. I like how large/tall the cot is and how simple it is to assemble and unassemble for when it does not need to be in use. While I did not find it comfortable, it does serve its purpose. Time will tell how durable the cot is but so far it seems good. I would recommend it to others.
Easy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's super heavy. However, it was so easy to set up. The cot is sturdy and comes with a really nice carrying case. It took my husband 6 min to set it all up! It's a little on the firm side but will absolutely work for camping!
Easy to set up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this in the mail, I noticed how compact the cot was which will make it easy to transport and carry. This was super easy to set up although the poles for the head and feet are a little hard because you need to stretch the fabric really tight. I set this up in my living room as it’s not quite camping weather here in Buffalo. I had my fiancé lay on the is to see how the length and comfort level was for him (he’s such a trooper isn’t he?). As a 6ft guy, he fit on this perfectly. He also said that the cot was firm and comfortable both on his back and on his side. I laid on it too and I definitely agree. I would recommend this Coleman cot because of the quick set up, comfort and durability it brings.
Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice cot wide enough for a large person to sleep comfortably. The metal frame is heavy duty and sturdy. It is super heavy and not for backpacking, it's for car camping where you won't mind the weight. It was fairly easy to set up but requires a decent amount of muscle strength. When setting up the cot, first make sure the fabric is centered on the side rails because it can shift. Then, after securing the first bar, stand the cot up on end with the second bar through the sleeve and connected to one peg. Then, hold the second bar down with your shoe and use the cot's leverage to get the second peg locked in. However it was a bit scary stretching the fabric tight. I felt like I might wedge my hand into the frame. I do wish they had a special wedging tool (think, long screwdriver, or crowbar) to get the last cross member in place. Like all stretched cots, it is not the most comfortable. I would suggest placing the Coleman inflatable pad on top of the cot. It folds up really nicely, and the carry-bag is great to make sure you don't lose any of the cross members. All in all it’s a great product.
Comfortable, but NOT built to last
This thing was really comfortable and sturdy with no pressure points, but the fabric tore at the seam after minimal use. I have owned this product for a little over year and I weight 175 lbs (well below the max weight recommendations). I only used this on one 2-day camping trip last October and a handful of times napping on the patio. Always stored indoors and never left out to the elements. Im really bummed because this was very comfortable, but obviously, I won’t be buying another one as a replacement because I expect the same issue to occur and I can’t recommend this product.
Cheap and broke on the second use
We purchased this one year ago and the second time we used it was this spring and it ripped down the side right at the seam. Very poor quality. It’s rated for 300# but it was used for a person much less than that weight. So disappointed.
Comfy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this trailhead camping bed , it’s actually pretty comfortable. Went camping a few days ago and used it as my bed and slept very well during the night , I do recommend this camping bed.
Not the quality I have had with older Coleman stuf
Not the quality that I have had with our many older Coleman products. This is the newest product and it’s ripped apart. I will think twice now before I buy another Coleman product
Worst Camp Cot I've Ever Owned
We bought this cot back in May of this year. Bought it because of the brand, the width, and for the way it folds up and packs into a bag. On the 4th trip, approximately the 10th night of use it failed on epic proportions. I was sitting near the end of the cot to untie my boots when the foot bent. I fell in the direction of the end of the cot and ripped off the bar on my way down. As if that wasn't enough, I knocked over the camp table and all of our food that was on it. It was like I was on some slapstick comedy, except I wasn't laughing, I was actually hurt and I spent the next 3 nights sleeping on the tent floor... in November no less. We were in the wilderness, about 2 hours from any outdoor outfitter, so no way to replace it for the remainder of our trip.
Solid cot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cot is built solid - it's on the heavy side, and takes a little muscle to pull tight, but the metal frame and tight canvas construction make it supportive and durable. Comfortable for one person only. I'm 5'4" and its plenty long and comfortable for me to stretch out on. Bed-comparable comfort for single guests at home, or for camping, though it would be too heavy and cumbersome to lug around to distant camp sites. It's nice to be off the ground and feel supported, with no slack or deflation like air mattresses can have. My favorite camping use: comfortable for two people to sit across feom one another playing cards :)
