Gregory  Alpaca Wide-Mouth Case - 25 Liters

I use this bag most often as a commuter bag for my bike commute. It is nice and sturdy and has plenty of pockets to hold my gear, spare clothes, and lunch. The wide mouth is also a bonus that allows me to access everything inside the bag easily. There are plenty of anchor loops to secure the bag to something. I use a couple to thread bungee cords through to hold the bag on my bike rack. The only minor complaint is that I wish it came with a shoulder strap. It does have two small handles for cart but sometimes my hands are full and a shoulder strap would be reduce an extra trip. But with all the anchor loops, I will probably just add one of my own.

We were hosting a few friends and needed somewhere to keep beverage cans & bottles cool. It was a great "dry" solution. We keep water bottles frozen to keep coolers cold. Tossed those in with cool cans and bottles. With Colorado's dry climate, I knew no wet ice or condensation would create moisture problems for this bag. Beverages stayed cold for our 5-hour get together. - As for the bag, it is extremely well made. I love how it stays open so I can see all my stuff. I also appreciate the 25 L broad base. Loaded & zipped it won't roll around like a plain duffle would. I'll be using this for small gear storage for road trips, hiking, and paddleboarding. Oh, and while the handles are fine, some reviewers called for a shoulder strap. Not needed at all! If it was included, I'd unclip it and leave it at home. Gregory, nice work on a great bag!

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I am an avid cyclist and end up with a variety of things I need to bring with me when cycling. Sometimes I leave from home and sometimes in one of two cars. This bag is perfect for hauling gear. It not too small, nor too large. I was able to throw my helmet, shoes, gloves, leg and arm warmers, headband, cap, vest, and jacket (the weather in this area is notoriously unpredictable). There are pocket for my lights and bike computer. The material is tough (stood up to an attack from one of my cats) and the opening is wide mouth so I can easily get to my gear. I really wanted to give it a 4 1/2 stars but that isn't an option. My only negative comments are that the handles are too small grab easily. My hands will fit in, but it is a snug fit. The outer pocket is a little on the small side. Overall, its perfect for what I was looking for.

I love the wide opening of this bag. I ended up using it for a quick weekend trip and it was the perfect size. I do wish that the handles were a little easier to grab. They aren’t that big. I liked that it had the small zipper area inside and two netted areas inside for small objects.

This is that glorious time of year when we can go XC skiing, paddleboarding, or hiking, sometimes all in the same day! No matter our outdoor jaunt, we always end up with a number of smaller items that are difficult to keep contained and organized as we travel to our destination. The Gregory case solves this problem and more. I went with the 25L case because it is the perfect size for those odds and ends. XC: Boots, gloves, hankies, hats, sunglasses, waist pack; Paddleboard: gloves, sunglasses, water shoes, sunscreen, hat. Or, with our recent birding trip: Scope (it would have fit 2), binoculars, sunglasses, hat, field guide, snacks. The case fits everything neatly tucked away on our drive, but easily accessible at the destination, with no rolling around in the meantime. It is also easy to carry the small stuff into our lodging or camp. The wide stay-open top makes packing and unloading a snap. An extra benefit of having everything tucked in the case, particularly on our birding trip, is that all valuables are out of sight when we pop into a local cafe for lunch; before, I always had to make sure the pricey optics were cleverly hidden beneath coats or a blanket. Safety is also there when it is empty: I put the bag with the top open in plain sight in the hatch while we are out and away from the car, so anyone checking it out will see it is empty - no temptation here. There are a few secondary features, some better than others. The handy T-pulls on the top zipper are easy to grab, although the rugged zipper takes two hands to get around the end corners. The zippered front pocket is secure but tight, so it is only useable for flatter objects. Stretchy pockets in the main compartment are perfect for sunglasses, lotion tubes, etc. The one feature I definitely would improve are the carry handles. They are rugged enough, but so short that my hand is a tight fit when I want to pick up and carry the bag. I would definitely lengthen those. Overall the bag is well made and sturdy. I would have no hesitation to take it anywhere under any conditions. It will see good use over any season.
