Sea to Summit  Tek Towel - Large

These are great towels as other reviewers have shared. I bought the large and extra-large versions specifically for camping/backpacking and also for deployments. They work outstanding in both environments! I appreciate they feel much more like a regular towel over a major competitors brand that I've used for years that feels like a shammy you dry your car with. They both dry quickly and pack down small but you can't beat the next to skin feel of the Tek Towels. Pay attention to the sizing/recommendations. The XL is definitely a big towel if you need or like the abundance. I recommend the Large for most situations ie field showers, pool, and such.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This towel is great for camping, hiking, etc -- not sure about backpacking given the size/box-y ness of the container. It really came in handy during my camping trip to Yellowstone. It comes with a tab that makes it easy to hang up, which is efficient for drying the towel after its been washed or in general. I happened to catch some trout during my trip to Yellowstone, and was able to use one of the towels to support the cooking process. Afterwards I used my sea to summit sink to wash the towel, and hung it up to dry so that it could be used for other purposes.

We have been using these Tek Towels on three sprinter van trips so far. We find that the large and x-large sizes are best for bath towels. The wash towels are used as wash cloths. The Tek Towels have the thick feel of a real bath towel. They absorb very well, much better than micro fiber. They dry within hours so we can use them morning and again late afternoon without having damp towels. When we visit friends' houses, we prefer to use our Tek Towels and Tek wash towels over their bath towels. This has the added benefit of saving the hosts from having to do laundry. We like these so much we are buying two sets for fellow vanlife friends as host gifts.

Minimalist essential! My family is downsizing our possessions. Trying to simplify our life I'm preparing for my upcoming retirement. We had a crap-load of towels in our home. WAY more than we can use at any one time. I started using a camp towel that I purchased a few years ago and a small lightbulb appeared over my head. I immediately took advantage of a S2S deal and bought 3 Tek Towels to test run. They work wonderfully. Big, absorbent, quick-drying, and small packing. These are our only bath towels now. The size is perfect for household, beach, and travel use. I wouldn't take this backpacking, but we use them daily for everything else. Once again: great product from a company I trust.

I bought this towel for a 3 week long road trip and I also camp a lot. I know it's expensive, but the xl size was the only way to go for me to use consistently as a bath and beach towel. It does dry really quickly and has a great case. The only improvement I can suggest is instructions for how to fold it so that it fits nicely back in the case. It took me a long time to get that down since you can't just shove it in the case. It has to be folded exactly right. Otherwise great towel I'll probably buy another for my boyfriend to use when we camp. Everyone is jealous of this towel

The Tek towels are great! We use them while sailing offshore on our sailboat and at marina stops in “real showers". Tek towels are soft and dry us off fast. They are lightweight and dry fast on the rails of our boat and when we store them inside the boat, they do not stink. We have them in three sizes, large, medium and washcloth. I would recommend these for any adventuring outdoors, both on sea and land! I purchased two sets in two different colors so we can identify which towel belongs to each of us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands-down the best camp towel I’ve ever purchased. The texture is so good: soft but you can still use it to scrub a little. It actually absorbs water, and FAST, unlike other camp towels that just move water around. I will probably keep using it at home too. I bought the XL which is big enough to wrap around me (I’m a size 16 so that is not the case with most towels). Very light weight and drys quickly. Worth every single penny.

We packed several of these for a car camping trip to Yellowstone/Grand Teton this past July. We loved that the towels are compact and the included storage bag makes them easy to stow in a carry on or checked baggage if you're flying. When you pull them out they feel like regular towels and are just as absorbent if not more so. They dry quickly and are ready to pack when it's time to move on. We used both XL and M.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I guess I wasn’t really happy with this purchase at all. The size I ordered for the price didn’t seem to match. It was way too expensive for what the price was that I paid. Also, it wasn’t absorbent at all. It was tiny and basically was just just as a face drying towel and a hair wrap that didn’t cover all of my hair. I was disappointed in the size for the money. Not the greatest quality.

(I regret waiting so long before I ordered more.) The large size has been perfect for my needs (travel, work in the field and office, and gym); it packs small. Also, its soft, asborbant, and dries fast. Highly recommended. Perfect to keep in your vehicle, desk, locker, etc.
