Birkenstock  Lutry Oiled Leather Clogs - Men's

Going to start it at a 4-star with an eye towards updating it after I wear them for a bit. The good: Beautifully made. Strap relatively easy to adjust and really does hold without chafing. Also arrived super-fast from REI! The footbed is well-built (needs a little breaking in but I'm not too worried). The not quite as good: These are WIDE visually (much more clownish than the Boston I own). My wife is calling them "Birken-Crocs." Feels like the use case is ideal for a pair of thicker socks, maybe too wide for bare feet. We'll see.

These are my first Birkenstocks and I’m so glad I got these! I was looking for a quality house slipper that would last a long time. I was tired of my slippers compressing and getting flat or falling apart after only a few years. I decided to give these clogs a try. These seem very well made with a high quality oiled leather that looks like it will age well and patina. They’re a bit heavy for clogs and can feel like you’re clunking around while walking. But I think that speaks to the durability of these shoes. They do run quite wide and a bit large overall. I notice this particularly if I’m barefoot; socks definitely make them feel more comfortably snug. They were not difficult to break in and now they’re quite comfortable to wear around the house. I’m quite happy I found these and I think they’ll last me a long time as house slippers.

Comfortable and versatile, and easy to break in. Glad to have a clog that I can go on walks in. The shoe is pretty weighty compared to other Birkenstock shoes, and feels a little flat. They’re very easy to “clomp” around in. Very nice build though, feels more quality than the last couple Birkenstocks I’ve bought. They look and feel great, and are definitely gonna be one of my most worn shoes this fall.
