Loved them so much, but had to return
I loved the feel of the leggings on my skin! I am sad that I had to return them and I am unable to order the same size again as it is out of stock... The leggings are extremely comfortable and kept me so nicely warm on chillier autumn days on hikes and all sort of outdoor activities! However, I am wondering if somebody else experienced the same... the seams started to get loose after only the first washing, which went on at different spots throughout only a few days. As the legging was slightly to large for me, there wasn't impact on the seams from wearing it at all. I might have just gotten a bad exemplar... I hope OR stocks up on this product soon. (size small)
Very comfortable and warm
I am a professional adventure guide and love using these leggings around camp, for trail-based hikes (vs deep backcountry travel), and at home for lounging. They are very soft, lightly lined and extremely comfortable. I agree with other reviewers...they seem to run big. I wound up returning for a smaller size because it was weirdly loose right where my leg met my torso. But when I ordered one size down, the issue was solved. The waist doesn't bother me, but I can understand why other reviewers might like the panel to be wider. No chaffing on long days out. I bought a second pair in black, and I really like the elk color.
SO comfortable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Meant for winter, but comfortable in the summer (low level activities only). I have to do physical therapy regularly and these give nice light compression while doing the exercises. Also I wear a knee brace, and the leggings don't bunch underneath the brace. I like the color because it matches the OR logo on the sunblocking shirt I bought. Makes a nice outfit! I was about to buy a 2nd and maybe 3rd pair in other colors when I noticed some reviewers said the leggings started showing wear quite soon. I would give it 5 stars except that I am worried about how long they last. Hoping my pair does last, because they look better than most leggings when I am out in public.
Almost great
Finally tried these out that it is warmer, unfortunately after the second time wearing them to work a seam on the side began falling apart.. I wore these for two office days at work so they did not take a beating. I would give 5 stars otherwise because they fit snug and the pockets are amazing.
Wrong size for me but this review might help you.
These were to be my walking, hiking, everyday warm kind of leggings for whistler winter. I ordered an XXL but they are too big, a touch loose on my legs and around my tummy. I am 5'2, 200lb, Waist 44" hips 43". I have returned them and re ordered in an XL so I'll review that size when they arrive. The length was fantastic though. I love ordering a slightly shorter length in leggings so that they don't bunch up around the ankles. These fit me like a full length legging. They are very comfortable and wonderfully cosy with the thin fleece lining on the inside. The leg pockets are perfect, great for phone and some small things you might need to carry. I'm a huge fan of these pockets on leggings. My only request to make them better for a fuller figure woman with a tummy is to add a little stretchy drawstring inside the waist band. That way they won't slip down if I'm running and it makes the size more versatile as my weight can fluctuate. I'll run in the XL when I receive them and let you know how well they stay up.
Developed holes in the inner thigh after just two months
I purchased these leggings along with the Melody zip up hoodie for hiking. The zip up is great - keeps me warm when it's chilly but isn't overly sweaty on a warmer day. I also initially loved the leggings - they fit absolutely perfectly and have useful pockets. The material initially seemed more durable than my usual yoga pants which I worry about ripping on rock scrambling or brambles on the trail etc. However, after less than two months of average use these leggings got holes in the thighs and became unusable. Very disappointing! I have athleta yoga pants that I've had with the same thighs and the same rate of use for five years! I was going to use outdoor research as my go-to for leggings, but now I need to look elsewhere. :(
not durable
I feel in love with these leggings once they arrived! Super comfy, warm and a great everyday legging during the cold winter months. After a few hours of wear I found the seams to start to come apart, I tried cutting the excess thread so it wouldn't run anymore. However, the following 2 days when wearing these leggings they continued to run. When I got them there was a super tiny hole in the butt (size of pen tip) however that also grew within the 3 days of wearing the leggings. I only wore these leggings around the house and under ski pants.
new go-to leggings!
Love these leggings! They look good on their own or with a skirt, are very comfortable, and great functionality. My favorite thing is that they do not ride down throughout the day or on a run- even with my phone in the pocket! I often have a hard time finding leggings (or any pants for that matter) that are large enough for my thighs and not sagging on my waist. I'm 5'8" 130lbs, size S is perfect. I went to order a second pair but sadly my size is sold out... hope they make them again next season!
I live in these leggings
I've been in physical therapy 5 days a week for 3 months and these are my go-to for PT, the gym, and life in general. The side pockets hold phones easily, the leggings stay up (even with pockets full), they wash well, and are flattering in general. I like the wide waist for working out. I've used these pre-PT for camping in the desert in the southwest, winter runs in the northeast, and for workouts at the gym. I love the smooth feel and compression, without it feeling too loose or tight.
Not the quality I was looking for.
After a season of wearing the pants, I can say you'll find better quality at a discount store (like TJMaxx or Ross) and price. I ordered a large (5'8" 175lbs). I constantly have to pull them up, they don't stay on your waist line. After only the first week of wear, the seams started to run. And after a month of wear, the material wears thin on the back, wearing the correct color underwear is important with these pants. I would not recommend these pants to a friend.
