My guy asked for this as a gift and was happy with it. Ordered a medium and it fit as expected. He generally wears a medium in tops. I did notice that the vest fabric is much stiffer than I expected and the 'collar' area stands up around the face and head. He was okay with it, but for a review I would like to pass on that based on the product description and picture figured the fabric was more flexible and would be able to fold back when not zipped around face, and that is not the case. Just an FYI for others looking at this vest. It is not insulated, definitely more for wind protection.
Love this vest! Excellent for the fall and under ski jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this for outdoor work around the house, hiking, skiing, every day to keep my chest warm. Love this vest as I can move freely while chopping wood, raking leaves and working on the house. Also excellent for hiking and running.

Perfect for those in between days......
Great for those in between days when it's to cold for just a short sleeve shirt & too hot for a jacket. I bought it specifically for my trip to Europe where it has worked perfectly. Highly recommend this vest!!!!

I work outside managing a ranch and sometime are in the saddle all day working cows and really like the flexibility of the wind wall vest. It blocks the wind good and keeps my core warm.

Men's Apex Bionic 2 Vest
I have been looking for this vest in my size for the past year. Finally showed up on The North Face site. So, I am assuming this is a popular piece and I am not surprised. It was exactly what I was looking for in the cooler moderate weather, not yet winter that provided me with movement. I spend time outdoors with photography and cinematography, and this works perfect. Not ridged or stiff feeling, provides me with lots of mobility, wind stoppage and ample warmth. I own the Patrick's Point vest, and this is a nice warmer season alternative.
