No, I do not recommend this product
There are definitely pros and cons. We will start with the pros--construction is fantastic, materials are durable and it is a clearly well made bag. I absolutely LOVE the design--the interior pockets are perfect, so is the top pocket for my earbuds, phone and wallet. I love the Y zippers, it makes getting something out of my bag when its under a plane seat super easy--it's also easy to grab the pull loop and drop something in the bag. Now for the cons. It is the most uncomfortable backpack I have ever worn. The ergonomics are horrendous--my shoulders and back hurt after wear for about 15 minutes, and I was looking for a travel backpack I could wear for 4 hours plus at a time. The bag is also heavy at 2.5 lbs empty. The molded bottom does not easily fit under an airplane seat (some planes it's okay, others I've had to put it in the overhead). It also barely fits in the overhead of a regional jet. My colleagues also teased me and call the bag a "YETI BOX" because it is so boxy on my smallish frame. The side water bottle pockets barely stretch to hold an 18oz rambler, there is no way you could get in a larger bottle without seriously stretching out the elastic (mine already no longer lies flush from one trip with a 32oz bottle). There is also no trolley pass through for a suitcase. The sternum strap is detachable and one side fell off on its maiden voyage and is now somewhere in the Amsterdam airport. I want to love the bag so much, but I actually hate it and am searching for something else. Probably would be great if you were using it for short trips to and from work or to the gym, but I can't stand it for more than 15 minutes on my back.

Yes , I recommend this product
Yeti bought Mystery Ranch about a year ago, and discontinued all of their hiking bags and most of their EDC bags. This is essentially the Catalyst bag with some Yeti touches - the molded back & stand up bottom, the tuff nylon fabric vs MR’s cordura, and of course the colors (grasshopper is gorgeous!).

This thing is a tank! The base stands up on any surface and protects all my gear. The bag fits all of my everyday belongings with ease, and the water bottle pockets fit larger YETI bottles.
