Absolutely LOVE these base layers! The merino wool is so so cozy, keeps you so warm and comfy, and don’t smell when sweating in them all day :) I’ll ride for 6-7 hours in these and they keep me dry and comfortable! The zip pocket is a great feature and i love the reinforced high-waisted fit!
Absolutely love my rho merino bottom, so I decided to order another pair. However now it's been revised to the Satoro merino bottom. The fit is almost the same, but the length is 3 inches shorter!! Now the stitching comes across my knee and is uncomfortable. Wish Arc'teryx would stop changing their products and sizing every year. Just make another style in boot cut like the synthetic ones now!
I bought it in nov. 2023 for our trip to Patagonia! I totally loved it under my hardshell pants or even instead of a pijama during the cold nights in Tierra del Fuego. I only wished it was less transparent around the bottom, because I would love to wear it also as normal legging, that's how much I like it.
I am a long-time user of your products and rely on them for work in high-alpine terrain. I really appreciate the durability and function behind your design, especially in changing weather and technical environments. Satoro Merino Wool The Satoro Merino hoodies are one of my most used base layers. I wear them across multiple seasons in alpine environments where temperature and effort level change quickly. I saw that the bottoms are now available as well. A 7/8 length version would be ideal for ski touring, since it would avoid interference with ski boots and improve comfort.
I have used it only two weeks intensely on two skiing holidays and some very cold days in the city, there are (multiple!) holes in the crotch. Insane for this amount of money…
I've been wearing this thin base layer through all of fall season and pair it with my kyanite base layers in snow blizzards. Its very breathable, stretchy, holds its form well after many washes, and is such a gorgeous purple. Its thin enough to fit under my outer pants and soft enough not to cause my skin to itch. I definitely love this product! I also love that it fits my athletic build.
These base layer bottoms have a comfy mid rise waist band, good fit through the legs. I’m 5’7” and 135 lbs and the medium size fit perfectly. I don’t love the pocket on the side of the leg and I was worried the zipper would chaff or rub on my snow pants but so far it hasn’t been an issue. The base layer weigh is great for backcountry skiing, not too thick and not too thin.
Poor quality….after a month use, wholes appear at the crotch area. Disappointed. l do like how comfortable and warm these are, but never expected quality failure in such a short time.
I am super happy with the fit and feel of these! The waistband is wide and doesn't dig in. The fabric is soft and warm. The pocket is great.
Fantastic fit, comfy … I could wear them to bed… and love the color! Probably will get more colors!! My first purchase.
