Flattering style which has washed well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Flattering fit which looks smart going out and technical enough to perform outdoors. The care label came off pretty soon after purchase and it has withstood being washed without much care. I have it in Boxcar and black and would buy another in a different colour…
Beautiful Hoody!
I loved this hoody in the Boxcar (green) color - it is beautiful! Unfortunately I was not able to tolerate the merino wool against my neck & upper chest for very long, so had to return it. (I use medication that makes my skin sensitive in these areas...)
It will be hard not to buy another one!
This hoody is my new go to for this winter. I have been using it casually as a standalone piece. I am just shy of 5"3 , 32C and weigh 118lbs with an athletic build. I bought a size small as I prefer my garments to be a tad looser fitting vrs. body hugging when wearing them casually. I could have bought an XS but since it was an online purchase, I went for the small and i am happy with my choice. The gusseted armpits promotes greater range of motion for using the hoody as an athletic base or mid layer. The length works well for my shorter stature. Lastly, I am quite impressed with the way the ribbed finish on the hood creates a seamless fit over my head and neck to seal in warmth.I would likely use this as a base or mid layer if it was below -20C.
Versatile and Comfortable Top
I really like the color, knit, and feel of the green Hallam top. It's not quite as soft as a sweater but still stretchy and comfortable. The knit of the fabric gives it a little more "urban" of a look, so you can wear it with a pair of jeans or yoga pants in town, as well as a layer skiing or hiking. The sizing is a little larger than normal. I typically go between M and L. I purchased an L for a more relaxed fit/easier size to layer, and I definitely could have gotten away with a M without it looking too tight.
Hallam Merino Wool Hoody
I bought this about 3 weeks ago, have worn it a number of times. Love it, it's warm, comfortable, and looks great. the shape and fit is good too. I am much more comfortable in merino wool than technical manmade fabric, it breathes alot better. I can wear this under my drysuit for RCM SAR even with the hoody. And it will be good for skiing season too.
Perfect for skiing, backcountry, climbing, trails.
I've been looking for a warm baselayer like this for some time. Super warm, stretchy and great construction. I e accidentally dried it and it doesn't shrink. It does run a bit large and I wish there were more color options. Also the black definitely attracts lint and hair but functionality is superb and I l've purchased multiple.
Pricey but solid quality
It’s a lot more money than I would normally spend on a sweater but it’s a quality product that I plan to have for many years. The design is flattering and can be super casual or slightly dressed up for an evening with friends. The hood is more fashion than function. It fits like a wet suit hoodie and is quite hilarious when on.
Great Features and Fit
I bought this a month ago and this is my favorite mid-weight layer. I have loved wearing it skiing and it is stylish enough to be able to wear out to dinner. I love that the hood can be tucked under and then pulled up and over the head/neck/lower face for when it is blustery. I like it so much I am getting another one in black!
Just ok.
Definitely fits small. If you're after the fit on the model you will need to size up twice. My wife normally wears an XS in Arcteryx, but even S was still too small and fit like a base layer. Presumably she would be an M, but we gave up after ordering two of them. Overall quality is fine but not really up its price point.
Stunning!
[Employee of arcteryx] I picked this up as soon as I saw the color (boxcar) and pattern. The 3d knit is stunning in person. Love that this functions as technical piece for base/mid layering, but looks casual enough to be worn as a standalone item. Fitted for a sleek look but not constricting at all. Very happy with it!
