Great on and off the mountain!

[Employee of arcteryx] This sweater has nice details that make it ideal as a base layer for resort skiing and it's versatile enough to wear to work/après/etc. It is a pretty thick merino with a cool 3D knit texture, but I don't find it bulky. I like how the sleeves follow the natural curve of my wrist for even more coziness. I am usually between a size M and L for tops and I'm glad I went with the M here as it is a bit more of a relaxed fit than I imagined. The sleeves and torso are a little on the longer side but that is ideal for my height. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is I wish it was a teeensy bit softer.

The Best Sweater!*

[Employee of arcteryx] *Ok I know this is supposed to be a technical base layer piece but I sized up and am wearing it as a casual sweater and it is AMAZING! I sized up as the fit said "fitted" or something to that nature but I wanted a looser fit and the large is great. I bought the Smoke Bluff colour and have been wearing it constantly (paired with Essent Warm Legging). I'm constantly reaching for it in my closet, it goes great with leggings and jeans. It's super warm and cozy, I've been washing and laying flat to dry with no shrinkage. Super versatile, I imagine if I'm traveling on a ski holiday I'd bring this to wear casually or on the hill on super cold days. Buy it, you won't regret it!

I bought one in every colour!

I bought one in every colour (last season's and this season's!), that's how much I love this shirt. It is the perfect thickness for being warm and cozy but not too hot. The fit and knit is very flattering, I especially love that the back is a bit longer than the front and the top of the sleeves are a bit longer as well. I'm a tall bean and have a hard time finding shirts that are actually long enough for my arms and torso, but this one is perfect. FUN FACT: it's quite stretchy and because of the shape of the shirt, I've been able to wear it well into my third trimester of pregnancy, which makes me absolutely peachy! It doesn't stretch out awkwardly and always returns to its original shape. If you're on the fence, buy it!

Decent sweater

It's a decent sweater, although it wouldn't be my choice as a baselayer as it's heavy and thick. I prefer my baslayers closer-ftting and easier to layer to maximise my layering system and regulate body temperature. I wear mine for casual use and the fabric is very soft. I chose the beige colour, however it doesn't look very good on my skin tone (I'm fair/pale) - I feel it washes me out especially in the depths of winter. Would have loved the green but they only make that in the hoody version (not sure why on that decision as it would have flown off the shelves)

Versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this sweater, the fit is so perfect. The sleeve cuffs are curved on top of the hand and flat on the underside of the wrist which give it a very feminine fit and look and make it so it doesn’t bunch up around the wrist when wearing with gloves/mittens. I will be wearing this all winter for a variety of activities as it’s so versatile and can be a mid ski layer or dressed up for dinner downtown. My one question is how to wash it? The tag instructions do not specify and I can’t find instructions on site.

Nice looking, warm sweater

This is a very comfortable, lightweight but warm sweater that looks a little nicer and less athletic than most Arc products. I bought the Smoke Bluff (light tan) version but plan to buy the black as well now that I've had time to wear it. Very minimal itch factor to this sweater. I'm typically a Medium in all Arc tops, but since their sizing is now so inconsistent, and I wanted the option of being able to wear a light shirt under it, I opted for large and am very happy with the fit.

A great versatile sweater

I love this sweater because of it's versatility. I am often going from outdoor active activities to places or events requiring a more elevated dress. This sweater is becoming a staple in my wardrobe due to this versatility–especially when I'm travelling and want to pack less. The knit pattern is an elegant and subtle design feature and the fabric is very soft. I typically wear either a XS or S at Arc'teryx and for this item I went with an XS.

Long sleeves!

I’ve loved this top in previous seasons, but this time the sleeves are far too long for the same size. This seems to be a recurring issue with many of your models — the sleeves keep getting longer and the shoulders wider. I’ve had to return several tops this season for this reason. I’m taller than average (169 cm), yet this one fits my husband perfectly — and he’s 186 cm tall. Please make your sizing more realistic for women.

The most beautiful sweater ever!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I just got this sweater and when trying it on my husbands jaw dropped and he said “wow”! (Man of few words). It is a must have piece and of all my Arc’teryx items this is my favourite and a definite must have. The merino wool is so soft and the cut is just perfect, the cuff is at an angle, the whole design is just exquisite. It’s a fitted fit so I got a large, in the regular fit I am a medium.

Great purchase!

Lovely sweater with intricate, and fascinating, stitch design in a non-scratchy, stretchy merino wool/polyester blend. The long sleeves and long torso, plus no seams, are great! This is a fairly fitted sweater, but not skin-tight, which allows full, non-restricted movement while staying in place. It's an all-purpose sweater which dresses up beautifully. I have it in Sequoia, a beautiful color.
