Sizing Review for Wide Feet

The taupe colorway of the Icebug Rover 2 is fantastic, but finding the right size was key. My foot sizing is tricky: my right foot is an 8 heel-to-toe but a 9 in arch length, and my left foot is 8.5 in both. I float between sizes—I wear a 7 in Blundstones (thanks, Australian sizing!) and a 9 in Salomon boots. The Icebug Rover 2 only had a 9.5, so I went for it—and I’m glad I did. I have wider feet, between D and E width, so fit is always a quest. In researching these, I learned more about my feet than ever. I’ll tell you: these start stiff. I’m still breaking them in. But even unlaced, the BOA system flexes as I walk—loosening forward, tightening down. Just like my BOA snowboard boots, fine-tuning is crucial—easy to overtighten. But going up half a size was the right call, especially for wider feet. If you’re on the fence, try them! And seriously, get a Brannock measurement at a shoe store—it’s a game changer for understanding length, arch, and width. The taupe colorway is awesome, and these feel premium. You can dress them up or down—after all this, I’m happy with my pick!
