Good support/stability

I love my trail running genesis, but had a recent sprained ankle as I headed to hike the TMB. My orthopedist & PT told me I had to wear a hiking boot and brace if I was going to continue with my plan to hike the TMB. Thankfully just days before our trip, the Salomon Genesis Mid Hiking Boot came out and I demoed them in addition to 3 other hiking boots. I went with the Salomon Genesis as it was the most comfortable for me out of the box. I hiked 10 days with a 15 lb load and had no issues with my ankle though I was admittedly more cautious than I typically would be on a trek. I did not have issues with blisters which I was worried about because the temperatures were high and boots were Gore-Tex. If you like the Genesis trail runners and are looking for a bit more ankle support/stability, I recommend these hiking boots.

Comfort and remarkable grip
Yes , I recommend this product
After 30 km of mountain hiking, these boots are really comfortable with zero blisters, and they offer excellent grip on wet rocks. The only minor drawback is a slight strange noise on flat, hard trails, but that doesn't take away from their overall great performance.

Early days 2 wears
Yes , I recommend this product
Two outings so far just to wear them in. Max 12 km. Instantly comfortable, good support, no issues with rocky ground. Felt a bit warm. Will go for thinner socks next time. Enjoying the lack of traditional laces so far. Looking forward to a true hike

These are great looking shoes but are a bit narrow in the footbed so not perfect with medium or heavy socks.
