Smartwool  Second Cut Fleece Vest - Women's

Just got this vest and unfortunately ave to return it. It sized much later than typical Smartwool pieces. I take XL in all Smartwool layers and large in their more casual tops that still tend to hug the body. I ordered this in Large per the size chart. It was way too poofy in the chest area, leaving gaping arm holes and was just not flattering. The material is super soft and would work well for casual use. Will need to exchange for a medium if I can.

I really love this vest — it's super soft, comfortable, and warm without being bulky. The material feels durable and the breathability is great for everyday wear or layering outdoors. The only reason I didn't give it a full 10 is the fit — it runs pretty oversized and has a boxy shape, which I personally love because I am tall and prefer relaxed fits for layering, but I know not everyone would. If you like a more tailored look or plan to wear it mostly around town, size down. But if you're taller or want something roomy for layering, your regular size should be perfect. It's a great everyday vest for staying warm without bulk, especially for camping, hiking, or casual wear.

Running very large. Don't think even xs would be small enough for me. Feels more like regular fleece (polyester) than wool. Not my preference so returning it.

The price point was right but when I got this, I thought maybe I ordered a men’s small because that’s the only way I can describe the fit. It doesn’t have a women’s cut, and the sizing does not reflect the fit. Size down by 1-2 sizes if you’re really set on getting this vest! Unfortunately I’ll be returning.

This best part is it super soft and not itchy, and a longer style. If you like some butt coverage this is the ticket. I feel like this vest had a more 'mature' fit, so if you're looking for fitted this probably isn't it. The breast pocket easily holds any phone making the usability of the pockets on a hike really nice. It's very warm yet thin, so I appreciated the lack of bulkines. . it really retained heat and was comfy on a cool day. I'm wearing a medium and half way through my pregnancy and I had tons of room to go. So with that said, in typical shirts I'm a medium, so in this vest I would easily be a small or extra small to get it to fit the way I like. That's the biggest tip regarding this vest is that the sizing runs quite large. I received this product for free for my highest opinion, and this is what I took from wearing it in several hikes. The weight and things though make it a great option for a smaller packing vest. I used this on several long hikes and loved the comfort and storage of the pockets!!

This is a little roomier than I expected, but that ended up being ok because I can wear it over sweaters. I really love how soft and warm it instantly feels. The fact that it's mostly recycled makes me feel better about it having some polyester.

Wish this came in more colors! I bought to wear as an extra layer on cold ski days. It does the job and doesn't hold BO, which tends to be a problem for me. I haven't had to wash it yet this season.

I love the vest, however smart wool usually runs small and therefore the extra large usually fit me. This vest is extremely roomy. I recommend a size down.

I love the vest it is not bulky and is very warm and soft. I normally find clothing to be not long enough in the torso, but this vest is perfect.

I've been looking for this type of vest -practical but attractive.
