Pretty quality. I am 5’10, 170, usually a large but I ordered a size up for extra steez. I like the length, it’s a little boxy but roomy enough for a beacon, etc. The front middle pockets seem good for when I wear a backpack. I like the way the bottom pockets lie, stuff won’t fall out easily if they’re open. The hood also seems to be a good size for a helmet. My only concern is the zipper pulls are very thin and light so possibly not the most durable. Also don’t need the powder skirt as I am a bibs person so kind of wished it detached. Otherwise very functional and looks good!
I loved the jacket and I love the vest even more! The jacket is my ski mid layer and general cold weather jacket. But it’s too warm most of the year in SOCAL. The vest keeps my core perfectly warm and cozy without overheating. Light weight, not overly bulky and a great tailored fit that looks casual enough to wear around town. Added to a wool or thicker flannel, I stay exceptionally warm. The inside pockets are a nice touch, the side pockets are well placed and half fleece lined, I do wish there was a napoleon pocket like the jacket. I also wish the Mountain Hardware logo wasn’t screaming out in bold white as much. The rubbery raised monogram really screams advertisement. I’d prefer the MH bolt or a more toned down version. Subtle like a Patagonia label. Overall my new favorite clothing item!!
Love this jacket, just received it today. I'm 5'11 and 165lbs and I ordered L, there is plentyof room to put a sweater underneat. Normally I struggle with jackets not being long enough but thith one is perfect. I like the amount of pockets and how they are placed. The powder skirt is removable in case it is preferred without. The only thing I would make a change is making the hood also removable, but it doesn't bother me that it isn't.
Girlfriend got me this vest (Black) at Christmas last year. LOVE IT ! Wear it a lot here in Michigan during the 'shoulder season' w/ a hooded sweatshirt or fleece. ONE thing that would make it PERFECT (5 1/2 stars :-) Add a chest pocket - like on the Stretch down jkt & Hoody. And would you add the color (s) of the jackets for next year = 'Volcanic Heather' & 'Wet Stone' I'm looking for another vest :-)
Love that this jacket has the same zipper of the old Stretchdown Hoodie. I also love how fitted it is! I wish the hoodie had the same fit and the old zipper!
Great shell the only thing is I wish the lower pockets were vertical not horizontal. A zip pocket inside and large zipper pulls. Solid and sturdy shell.
Surprised at how warm this is for how compact it is. Fits great and love the look of it as well.
Wonderfit fit, quality and style. A show stopper vest! I take a medium and the fit was spot-on.
Great vest. Keeps you warm. Material excellent and stretchy.
Jacket is good just little bit longer than normal jacket.
