Astral  PFD Sandals - Women's

I’ve used these a few times, once on a canoe trip down a Florida river and on a boat ride to the beach. I really like them. They are comfy and seem durable. They are also adjustable. They are a little snug on top of the foot even when adjusted to the loosest position. That doesn’t bother me and doesn’t make them uncomfortable for me. Just means I have to put them on like regular shoes instead of very easy slip-on’s, like flip flops. Because of this I’m assuming this shoe wouldn’t be comfortable/fit every foot even if the size is correct. I’m technically a size 10 but usually wear 9-10 shoe size depending on brand, I bought a 10 and they fit perfectly.

I so wanted to love these. I'd typically worn 7.5 or 8 in the past but, based on reviews that sandal ran a little big, measured my foot (stood on sheet of paper and drew outline) and came up with 7. No go, so returned them for an 8. They just arrived...and I've now decided it's the overall sandal design that just doesn't work with my feet. I have a high instep. If the inner mesh had more give to it, I think the size 8 would have worked...the footbed is perfect. But as it is, that mesh hits just below the instep, and I cannot get it pulled up any higher. So back they go, too. The construction appears very good; they were nice and lightweight; I liked the olive green color. I'm sad.

An adjustable heel strap made this a winner for me. There was no break-in period and my first day on the trail felt like I had worn them for months. Took them to the Amazon and they handled wet and slippery conditions.

These are great on the boat and camping. I prefer them to all other birks and sandals on and off boat while camping. The blue is pretty sweet too!

Purchased these sandals about a week ago in the blue. First impression is they feel like a cross between a sneaker and a slipper. They are very comfortable and performance forward, as you would expect from an Astral footbed. Unlike other sandals, I wasn’t gripping my toes on the edge of the sole to ensure my foot stayed in place. The construction and design did that for me! The buckles allowed me to tighten down the sandals when needed on steeper sections of rock, but I most enjoyed wearing them rather loose. Only compliant so far is that they were slightly damp the morning after my yearly spring river jump!

I wanted to Love these, but got cuts over my arches on both feet. Actually wasn't aware of it until I went to put them on 2 days later, and realized I couldn't go far because of pain. I think it's the inner liner that was rubbing. I've worn Keens before; straps but no inner liner. I had to return them.

I took these backpacking to Pictured Rocks this Spring and they were perfect…especially for walking the beaches and collecting water. Very lightweight and comfy, dried pretty quickly, too! I did not hike in these but for exploring camp, they were awesome!

Great shoes for around and in water. I have had sandals in the past that claim they grip well on surfaces but slip around on most surfaces. These are great for on pool decks and rock hopping near tide pools. The sole's lugs aren't super deep, but they seem to have sipes. The fit is true to size and the closure is secure. Dry time is ok.

Great, if not the best, pair of sandals she has ever had. They stay on in the water.

I bought the sandals when I saw them on sale for a good price and they looked like what I could use. The size 6 pair I bought fits very snug and nicely (regular shoe size is 6). I have narrow feet so this shoe works well for me. I have worn them on several dog walks. They are very comfortable even in hot weather. I have not tried them in wet conditions. I would recommend these sandals.
