Took this jacket on a hiking trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons and seemed to have worked great most of the trip! We had a rainy hike planned the last day and thought this would be the perfect jacket to withstand some rain for a couple hours. The jacket soaked through within the first 15 minutes of the hike. Love the fit and weight of this jacket but functionality-wise I would pass. It’s a hefty price for a jacket that isn't able to withstand even 15 minutes of rain even though the description convinced me it would be perfect for this situation.
