Loving it so far

This jacket is awesome...I got this as an alternate summer piece to a patagonia troilet jacket which I own already. This M10 storm jacket is noticeably super duper light and cool to wear. The Troilet jacket is way too warm for humid summers, so I'm excited to put this one to heavy use. It felt pricey but I feel like it's worth it. My issue with the Troilet jacket is that it is meant for cold weather, so when you're stuck an endless battering of summer rain, it feels like you're wet because you're sweating. I haven't been in a killer storm yet with this M10 but I'm excited to feel the difference. Even though it doesn't have the arm pit vents or side arm pockets I'm happy with it.

Maybe it’ll work for your size.

First off I got such a good deal on this with the clearance price plus my coupon. I can’t even believe I’m going to return it. First off the sizing is wild. I’m 5’8” 165 lbs and don’t own a size large in a single thing. This in a medium is too tight on me. If I was only wearing a base layer it would be ok. I also can’t opt for a large because the sleeves on this are already 3” too long. Altogether the strangest fit I’ve encountered on Patagonia. Also the collar doesn’t stay down at all. I don’t think it has the ability to. I get when it’s pouring you want it up, but this is just sticking out like a wing of some sort. I also hate not having any front pockets- but I get why it doesn’t so I can’t knock that. It is amazingly thin and quiet. It’s everything I wanted except the fit.

Ok style

Be aware that this rain jacket does not have pit zips. It has a tapered fit, which may not be good for you in a rain jacket. Patagonia usually fits me big, so instead of a large, I order a medium. However, this jacket fits me true to size. It also has no side pockets. The style is nice and I like the color. I have not worn it in the rain yet, but I’m anticipating it will hold up well.
