Look Great, Cheap Construction
These look great, a modern take on the Lowdown style. They fit the same, but have a slightly slimmer appearance, similar to the Lowdown Slim. Unfortunately, the frame is made out of flimsy, thin metal. Based on previous experience with the Serpico style, I was expecting something solid and robust from the metal frame. These are NOT that. They flex and wobble with small movements and feel like the bridge will break with little force. The lenses feel like they will pop out since the frame bends so much with little resistance. The thickness on these needed to be doubled at least, or a different metal selected. I’m not sure how these made it to market, but I’m disappointed with the result because these had so much potential.
Bummer
Super cool idea. The execution leaves something to be desired. The frames bend too much to be an "active" pair of shades. Any flex and one of the lenses dislodges from the frame. Kudos to Smith customer support though. They are already working on my claim. Be warned, you will be doing the same if you purchase these shades.

These Sunnys are stellar. They held up very well in summer and winter working conditions....until I lost them. Grabbing a new pair soon when I can afford it.
