I love this pack. The chest pockets feel like I’m wearing a running vest on long approaches. It’s only a 38 liter pack but I feel like I can fit 2x the gear as my old mystery ranch due to the thought out gear and tool attachment points. Currently have gear for 3 people with 3 ropes and 3 sets of ice tools attached and bet I could fit even more if needed. Gonna be hard to ever “upgrade”
I used this pack for an overnight to try it out before getting into the snow. I am 5'11''. The torso is a little short and there is not a lot of structure to the belt, so it did not carry weight well. It did great from a water protection standpoint, keeping my gear dry in a downpour. Overall solid pack, durable attachment points. My brother was using a hyperlite pack and was envious of the durability features. I would only use it for lighter weight day-trips and mountain summit attempts. Overall, very solid pack for quick adventures. I am excited to try it out in my next summit attempt.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I needed this size pack for the W trek in Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile. The pack is light weight, comfortable and sleek. No water bottle pockets, but I used it with at 2-liter hydration bladder which worked great. Could have fit a 3 -liter bladder if needed. It's more than a day pack but less than a full size back country back pack. Zippers and Buckles are durable and easy to use. Good access to stuff inside, without a lot of unnecessary pockets and accessories. I'm very pleased with it.
Great bag, Its perfect for rock or ice climbing. Ive used it for both and have never felt i needed more space or that the bag was too big. Its perfect for a long pack out, and if need be you could somewhat comfortably carry two 60m ropes if you stack the bag well.
I love this pack for BC skiing and mountain adventures. I rarely use the full 38L, but the pack rolls down (like a drybag) for whatever size you need. I love the side zip for easy access inside.
Solid backpack with plenty of space and features for all your climbing gear.
Great size for ice climbing with all the attachments and built very well!
