prAna  Sol Searcher Sun Hoodie - Women's

I'm short and this was still quite cropped on me, it has a flowy fit too so it wouldn't take kindly to tucking in either. The sleeves are also extremely long, I don't know what I'm expected to do with all of that extra length. The fit isn't even why I'm returning this though. I ordered the bio-mint color, which is a nice earthy minty green in the still photos, it's a bit different in person and not the color I was hoping for. It's like a very bright and lighter blue tinted mint, you can get an idea of what it's like from the video in the listing but it's still brighter in person than that. Not quite turquoise but I'd call it that before I'd call it mint.

I love this top! I bought it just before a 6-month trip scuba diving/snorkeling/surfing/hiking in Central America, and boy I’m grateful I did. I needed a long-sleeve that could do it all, and knew I could trust PrAna with the task. I wear this during daytime explorations and boat trips for lightweight sun protection, in-between dives for thermoregulation, and in the evenings for warmth. It’s very comfortable material (feels like a favorite hoodie without the weight), and is flattering. I am 5’7”, ~143lbs, with slightly broader athletic shoulders. I usually wear an S, and an M fits me perfectly with a gentle drape. This hoodie matches great with prAna’s Fernie pant in “sweet agave stripe,” so on cooler beach nights I’m looking stylish and staying warmer. Excellent capsule wardrobe inclusions. I rarely review items, but I think that this deserves more stars than it has. Also, the Railay LS Button Down is a similar winner in the sun protection (& style!) department. These are the only two long sleeve shirts I have with me, and a month later I have no regrets. Thank you, PrAna!

I was so surprised at the negative reviews for this because I LOVE mine. I think the cut is very attractive and comfortable. Yes it is cropped, but it’s a great summer shirt. I am 5’9 and it is not cropped so much that my stomach is showing. It’s just a shorter shirt, but not cropped in the sense that it becomes a belly shirt. It is light and great for all types of activities. I wear it out even on super hot days. The sleeve cuff is a tad tight but nothing that has been an issue for me. I purchased the blue and it is a light color that isn’t flashy or showy.

I bought a sol searcher hoodie in 2023 and it is still one of my favorite, go-to shirts when working outside for my job. It’s long and has thumb holes to keep me covered up from the sun. But now they’ve ruined the utility of the style by cropping it. I can’t layer a longer shirt underneath for length because it’s hot, and I can’t have half of my belly showing to my coworkers every time I move. If they bring back the old style, I’d buy so many. This one is not suitable for actual movement.

I love everything about this top! It is a stylish cropped length with nice long sleeves. I love the round, darted yoke, which gives this a great fit through the shoulders. The hood is deep and comfy to wear. I am 5’7”, ~140lbs, with broader athletic shoulders. I usually wear an S, and an M fits me perfectly with a gentle drape. A perfect travel and outdoor piece, which also feels stylish enough to wear in day-to-day life. I highly recommend!

This top fits me perfectly. So difficult to find a Sun Shirt that does not fit me like a dress. I am of average height but short waisted and I am tired of buying knits that need to be hemmed (and they never look as good). And, more importantly, when one is hiking/backpacking who needs a long top?. I want light and airy! I have bought two of these tops and I would love another in a light grey. Please add more colors. :)

Bought this for field work in California and so far loving it. It feels durable, dries fast, and is nice and stretchy. The crop is a little high at times when I am lifting or reaching, and if you don't have small wrists you may struggle with the sleeves being too tight, but for me it works. Cute color and does the trick! Bought a medium which is my normal size.

I'm 5'2" and 125 lbs. I liked the soft fabric and style but the small was a bit tight in the front of my shoulders and head opening. The hood on this is less hoodie and more swim cap. I'm a big fan of the crop style but mostly because I'm short waisted (heck, I'm short all over) and like the length. I exchanged for Cozy Up hoodie - roomier in the small.

I love the color, feel and fit of this shirt EXCEPT for the hand covers. They are SO TIGHT!! I unfortunately didn't notice when I quickly tried it on at home, but took it hiking in the heat (and my hands swelled) and I was pulling on them the whole time trying to loosen. I may even end up cutting them off since the sleeves are a bit long on me...

The material is super nice and soft. Not too thick, which will be perfect for sunny days. The only thing is that this runs pretty small - I have really broad shoulders and sized up from my normal M to a L in order to accommodate, but probably could have done an XL since the shoulders are slender. A little cropped, so keep that in mind as well.
