I take this pack on all my long day hikes and it is the most comforting pack! I love al the pockets and features of the pack as well as how it hugs my body. I recently took it on my grueling hike to Cucamonga Peak and it survived the aftermath!
I had been on the hunt for a daypack with good support and ample space for stuff. This bag delivered and more! I took this bag on its maiden voyage on a 9 mile trek and it couldn't have been more comfortable. Full bladder, lunch/snacks, extra clothes and still had room to spare. The shoulder straps and waist belt were comfortable and I'm happy that my iPhone 12 could fit in the pocket of the waist belt. My only complaint is that my Osprey 2.5L bladder did not fit properly. The clip to hold the bladder was not compatible with the Osprey. Nothing to make or break the construction of this bag, I'll just get the Gregory bladder. I couldn't be happier with my choice. The navy color is great.
Love this pack so much. I have taken this pack on many hikes. Some of the hot humid summer hikes I’ve needed extra water. The reservoir pocket accommodates my 3 liter reservoir in the summer months. The hip belt pockets are great for all the frequently used items. My phone, lip balm, snacks all fit in the 2 pockets. The key hook in the all top pocket securely holds my car keys so I don’t have to search through my pack at the end of the hike. Still plenty of space I’m the large storage pocket for essentials bag and rain jacket and lots of possibly layers for the winter snowshoe hikes. Outside mesh pocket holds sunscreen and big spray in summer and gloves and a hat in the winter. Perfect all around pack!
Great water bottle holders…wish they were a bit more forward so easier to access without taking pack off. Comfy & light. Love the front pocket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this day pack and use it when I go to the lake and for camping. Love the comfort pad at the back. It’s one of my fave features.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I'm pretty happy with the pack. I've only used it a couple times so far so I'm still learning how much I can pack, and what the true limits of the Juno are. When I purchased the Juno 24L I really wanted a daypack that would last for a long time. I'm a sucker for the color. I do wish it was a bit roomier but I think I can make the size work if I pack it realistically. Ideally I would be able to pack a lunch, extra layer, water filter, first aid kit and equipment to make tea or coffee on the trail. I think I'll be able to get close even if it isn't perfect.
I liked the fit, size, color, large front mesh pocket, and small front (unlined) small tech pocket. But there were a few small things that put me off personally. I did not like how the buckle for the front mesh pocket was tucked under another layer of fabric as it was hard for me to access. The *Gregory TM* U-shaped zip of the main pocket was hard for me to close since it went beyond the side compression straps. And the hip belt pockets are pretty far back and curved, so that you can't zip them closed with one hand. The water bottle holders were able to fit my 1L bottles but barely (I had to squeeze them in). This means my water bottles are secure, but I wish the pockets were larger in diameter and taller to achieve the same effect.
One lil reason I got this one is that it will hold a mouse-carrier well on the front of it in that big stretchy pocket (weird things you have to think about prepping for owl work). Bigger reasoning is that I love that it has such big hip belt pockets and a rigid frame!! The hip pockets can hold my iPhone 11, snacks, and TP (w/ pack-out baggy). There’s a nifty sunglasses bungee holder on the shoulder strap. Feels soooo comfortable to wear and hike with light weight in pack and when it’s packed heavier. At 24L capacity it will hold EVERYTHING you need and then some no matter how long your hike is. I can carry everything necessary for safe solo backcountry hiking and then some (aka mouse carriers and backup safety gear). This is probably the most comfortable day pack I've ever used. The front/top pocket is perfect for easy-grab items (gps, headlamp, snacks, sunscreen, etc), the pocket seems to be lined so it won’t scratch sunglasses which is nice! Pockets on the sides are stretchy and hold even my long hydroflasks and my 1L hydroflask just fine. I like that there's compression straps on the sides to hook your bottles to as a backup security system. Good hook and separated pocket for a water bladder inside. Zippered mesh pocket in the large/main compartment can hold plenty of pens and a few other small items to keep from getting lost on the bottom of the bag. With 24L this could probably be a great weekend backpacking bag if you pack light (or during summer months). My previous bag was a very old north face that has seen better days. It was frameless and uncomfortable during long bushwhacking hikes. It also had crossed too many barbed fences across rangeland with me and was covered in patches. It lasted me a good 7 years, but I expect this Juno to last much longer!! Excited to keep putting this bad boy to work!
Perfect for long day hikes with my dog so I can carry some of her gear as well! The mesh pockets are a bit snug for nalgenes but would likely work well for more slender water bottles. Although it’s a bit heavier than many daypacks because of the air mesh and frame, I will gladly carry a little extra weight in order to have more comfortable support and weight distribution. It really alleviates the back pain I’ve had with previous less well-fitting packs.
This was my first hiking backpack that had a frame to it and It was wonderful. The hip straps were so supportive I barely felt any weight on my shoulders. I hike two high peaks in the Adirondacks and had some wild scrambles. The backpack was very durable coming down the areas where I had to slide. Really loved the colors as well. The backpack was very well thought out and I loved all of the features that it had.
