Salomon  Genesis 2 Trail-Running Shoes - Women's

I have the first Genesis model and they are the best shoe purchase I have made. I have worn them for trail running, hiking in Switzerland and the Dolomites, as an approach shoe and for short runs around the city. The lugs are super grippy and had good traction even on slippery city pavers. The non goretex model is anxiously not waterproof but does seem to repel water when hiking or running in the rain and they do dry quickly if they are submerged. The shoes are also pretty lightweight so great for travel and keeping feet from feeling sluggish. They’re a great all rounder for me and I will probably purchase again!

These shoes are amazing. The first time I wore them for an 11-mile hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. The next weekend was 45 miles over 4 days in the Wind Rivers. My feet felt amazing and I love the grip on these shoes on the rocks. I've only owned salomons for hiking and these ones are my favorite!

I have taken them out on three runs so far. My low/flat arches seem to tolerate this shoe well. I did trails with gravel and wasn’t loving how many rocks I could feel under foot. I also experienced some toe rubbing on my pinky’s once my foot was past the 20km mark. I was hoping to use these for a 50km ultra. But I don’t know if they are comfortable enough to make the full distance. It’s unfortunate cause I need to find another shoe now or they improve with a few more runs. I think it’s a great shoe but I don’t feel confident it can go the distance

These Genesis 2 trail running shoes are excellent. Comfortable right out of the box with no awkward break-in time on the heel. I wasn't sure I would like the quick lace system but I actually really do. I had to get the hang of them at first but now they feel more secure than standard lace-ups. They are true to size and the witch is perfect for my feet. I have a high arch and feel supported too. There is a good amount of bounce and they feel suctioned to my feet. They are stable and enjoyable to walk/run in.

I have worn Genesis for the past 2 years. I need a wider toe box and this shoe gives me the space that I need. The shoe is comfortable from the first time I wear it. I walk approximately 30 to 35 miles per week and this shoe keeps its shape and comfort for several months. I have worn this shoe on the past 2 Caminos de Santiago that I have walked and I never had any blisters or for problems the entire Camino.

Took this shoe to the Dolomites for a week and it served me well! Great traction on the mountain and comfortable and light for walking around town.

Love the tread and grip on the trail/ rocks, easy to slip on with lace system.
