REI Co-op  Big Haul 90 Duffel

What a great product from REI. Although it’s too big to bring as a carryon on a plan, this duffle bag has enough space for any trip or activity you have planned. The addition of the backpack straps makes it even easier to carry this around, whether it’s full to the brim or has extra space for whatever else you may need. I used this for a short trip and while I was moving, so it was great to use the backpack straps when the bag was full, and as a regular duffle when it had less items in it. I’m 5’8, and when the bag is full it about mid-thigh height on me, so it’s not overwhelmingly massive, more so a slightly long backpack length. We’re heading into fall, but this is already my new bag for ski season. It fits my helmet, goggles, gloves and gear with ease, and has so much extra space for additional clothing. I loathe bringing 3 different bags on ski trips because gear never packs well in a backpack, duffle, or suitcase, so having one bag that can fit all is kind of a game changer; I won’t ever leave my bag with my helmet, goggles, gloves, and baklava behind again! The only downside of this product is the lack of pockets. You have two up top on the bag, one for the backpack straps, and one on the outside of the bag. But less pockets means it’s a better product for bulk items like ski gear. If you buy a mini packing cube or if you have other packable bags, the lack of pockets is probably less noticeable. And again, it is a great bag for bulkier items, so it’s truly made for adventurers at heart. And! Best of all! The duffle packs down into its own small cube! Very storage friendly for people in small living spaces like myself because I can slip the packed down cube it into my travel suitcase and the bag doesn’t have to take up half my closet when it’s not in use. Overall great product from REI.

We purchased this duffel for our son for college. We wanted something big, durable and water resistant, that could be easily stuffed overhead or under his seat whether he was taking the bus, train or ferry home. The fact that this also has backpack straps sealed the deal, so he can carry it anyway he needs. We pretty much stuffed this bag with 90% of his wardrobe; about 40 shirts, and all his shorts and sweatpants. So when it comes time to pack for breaks, he'll be able to fit everything he needs, including shoes, toiletry bag, jacket etc. After we unpacked him in his dorm, I was able to fold the bag up into its pouch and put it into the drawer. The material is thick and easy to wipe down, and the top of the bag has flaps to cover the zippers so your things won't get wet. 100% recommend, and I would definitely buy this in smaller sizes as well.
