Where to start... This thing is huge and you could carry your whole life in it. The fabric/material definitely seems like it'll hold up to anything you throw at it. It has the standard duffel handles that you would expect, but also some backpack straps that stash away when you don't want to use them. There's a couple exterior pockets that are super useful for anything that you need to keep handy, but there's also some internal mesh pockets to help keep things organized. To help keep things a little bit smaller, it has some straps that wrap around it to help cinch down to make it squish down a bit. Overall, it's a fantastic overlanding bag that will take anything you throw at it
The REI Big Haul 120 is a big haul duffel bag. It duffles and it bags. It has a lot of space. I have not had the opportunity to bring it on a trip yet, but I packed it with what I will be taking on my trip to Quebec this winter and it fits everything with room to spare. And winter clothes and gear are extra bulky. It has high quality YKK zippers. The material seems durable and lightly water-resistant. I feel confident that light rain and snow will be no issue. Lots of attachment points and cinch straps to make sure your stuff doesn’t move around inside if you want. There is also a way to make it into a backpack which I personally don’t see myself using but the more options the more versatile the bag.
Giant duffel with stowable backpack straps holds a ton of stuff. Think 2 king size pillows, plus room to spare. You can fit plenty of clothes and gear for an extended trip, but pack wisely because it could get heavy. Side straps let you tighten the pack down. Plenty of handles. Durable materials. Zippered internal pockets to keep smaller items organized. Backpack straps stow into a zippered pocket. The bag comes in a stow bag that could be used as a packing cube. If flying, the bag is too large for a carryon unless you don’t fill it up. But probably more practical as a checked bag, anyway. If your travel features a fair amount of walking where a wheeled suitcase would be a pain to schlep around, then this could be just the ticket. Might be too big for some applications. Definitely compare the size to others to make sure it’s the right bag for your applications.
Huge bag! My wife and I went out of town and fir everything we needed and more in this thing. It’s nice how it has two separate inside mesh compartments to keep our things organized and separated. The back pack straps were super helpful because you can fit so much stuff in it that it gets pretty heavy. The materials feel nice and durable and the build is light weight so it’s easy to store away when we’re not using it. Overall great bag
Great duffle took it on a trip to Portugal and it was a great size for 3 weeks. Used it at a backpack so very easy to carry. The large opening at the top makes it very easy to get organized. It was so much lighter than my other pack backs. Highly recommend this duffel and everything stayed dry in the rain
