Comfortable and cool shirt
This is a nice lightweight cover up shirt. The material is soft and cool. My son loves that it has thumb holes in the sleeves to keep them down and covering his hands. The hood is good for neck coverage. Nice color. Sizing is perfect - a little big for his age but he will grow into it and get a lot of use out of it.
Love the muted color
This hoodie is a pretty muted blue that will go with many other colors. My daughter’s already using the thumb holes on cool summer mornings. The material is soft, lightweight and has a nice stretch.
Not for us but could serve a different sport
I got this for one of the big kids in my life, but it's me wearing it in the photo bc I'm not going to post a picture of a kid to the internet and talk about size. (For reference , I am 5'4 and 125 lbs and the size XL Kids is pretty baggy on me). Big kid is not in love with it, to be honest. Said they love the handholes but that it feels like wearing a swimsuit. (The fabric is clingy and slick feeling.) As an adult I'm confused as to where we would wear this - we're in Chicago. It's too hot for this in the summer where we are and in the fall if there's even a little breeze this isn't going to be enough to keep warm - and before anyone says it's a layer, please reference again that the fabric is clingy and will absolutely show every lump or bump of a base layer. Maybe if we were rock climbers, this would be handy? Or heavy duty hikers? But we're just transit bikers and neighborhood walkers. I don't think this is the best fit for us. That said, the hood is roomy enough on even large heads, the zipper is not problematic, it does have pockets, and the hand holes are lovely. If only we had a place to wear it!
