Not new but returned item........

I love Asolo's and these are the 4th pair I have purchased in the last 10 years. Asolo's are getting hard to find so I was so pleased when I found them at REI and the price was right. I would much rather send my business REI's way. The shoes were ordered, shipped and received quickly as promised. What I DID NOT expect was to receive a plain box stating that my "new item from REI Co-op had been repacked due to damage of the original box," The shoes are clearly a return item, having been worn. The soles are soiled slightly, there is sand in the tread and the toes are scuffed. These shoes are not "new". REI, I'm disappointed. I have photos to share.....

Ankle rubbing issue, had to return
I really wanted these shoes to work but they just didn't fit well. I normally wear a size 9 normal width and purchased a size 9. The length was fine, maybe just a tad large. Unfortunately my outer ankles rubbed. I tried switching out the standard insoles with superfeet but even that wasn't enough. I don't know if I'm someone with 'low ankle bones' but if you know that you are, then I'd avoid trying these shoes. It's too bad because they do seem to be constructed with nice materials and had great grip.

Alleviated My Planta Fasciitis Pain
Yes , I recommend this product
My planta fasciitis pain returned after I installed a pair of brand new insoles to my hiking boots. I switched to this pair of hiking boots for Death Valley National Park trip. They are so comfortable that my pain not only alleviated but gone at the end of my three days trip.
