REI Co-op  Trailmade Fleece Jacket - Infants'/Toddlers'

We tried this jacket on the only cool/rainy day we had over summer and it performed wonderfully. Our toddler is a size 2T but we got a size larger (3T) so they can grow into it but it still got great without being huge. The fleece is very soft and warm. Temps didn't get below 50 but our toddler was plenty warm even when it rained on us. The zipper worked great (toddler loved unzipping the jacket) and we appreciate the extra flap behind it to help keep wind out. Pockets are functional and the fleece material didn't pill after bouncing around in a jogging stroller for an hour or so. It feels durable, with strong stitching and I would feel comfortable using this in temps down into the 40s to keep my toddler warm. Washed without special care and material is still soft. We appreciate the name tag with space for multiple different users as kids grow in and out of the jacket. Stitching feels highly durable.

Toddler approved! This is a great medium weight fleece, good for layering or alone. My kid wore this on a couple chilly walks in the stroller and on a hike and liked the pockets to collect sticks. So far, ir is holding up well in the washer and for all the toddler tumbles. I got a size 18 mo which seems true-to-size. It had a bit of an oversized fit so I anticipate it fitting for another size too! The colors and contrast are really cute. It reminds me of another popular toddler outdoor clothing brand but half the price!

We got the 12 month size for our 15 month old and it fits him perfectly (and should for a few more months). He's in the 50th percentile in height too. Good material, looks comfortable and he is happy with it. The zipper is high quality and easy to use. I like that the collar doesn't hold and irritate his neck like some other similar shirts do. We've washed it twice, hung dry and we see no evidence of pilling.

A colorful, light, flannel, jacket that provides warmth for crisp evenings or mornings. This is a great jacket for kids - both of mine are quite pleased to wear it. I would recommend as a fun jacket for your kids in the cooler months.

First off, we absolutely love this jacket, it is a really sharp looking jacket with thoughtful details and we appreciate that it looks like a scaled down version of an adult jacket and not just a little kids jacket. A lot of kids jackets go over the top with fun patterns (not knocking them as he also loves those types of jackets), but it is nice to have something that he can wear when we don't want him looking like a little dinosaur. My wife and I also really like the retro styling (right down to the old style REI patch on the chest) with the fun pop of reddish-orange and yellow on the trim and zippers. I was a bit torn about the absence of a hood on this jacket, but more often than not he pushed back the hood on his last jacket or it would bunch up behind him when in his stroller, plus this jacket still has a nice little hang loop made of the same thin rope used on the zipper pull so you can still hang it up, so I don't think we'll actually miss the hood. While my son initially had little interest in putting on a jacket (something I'm sure most parents of a 2 year old can relate to), once he actually had it on, he (eventually) loved it and now proudly points out HIS jacket. Sizing seems to be pretty spot on for a 3T jacket, and the weight of the jacket should make it a good option for cooler weather and to wear as a layer when it gets really cold (so far it has only garnered use on a couple cooler nights, but with fall approaching we fully expect this will be used frequently). The fleece has a nice soft feel to it, and we appreciate the flap behind the zipper to prevent inadvertently catching underlying clothing while zipping it up (it also extends slightly past the top to keep the top of the zipper from rubbing on his chin). The zipper is also nicely sized so that he can easily unzip it when he wants (we'll see how big of an advantage that is over time), and being a ykk zipper, should continue to function well for the life of the jacket. We really like the design of the pockets as they are open (so no zippers to rub against bare skin or catch on mittens), but have enough depth once inside that he can securely stash a car or two for easy access when out for an adventure (very important for one who has just discovered the fun of pockets). We also really appreciate the inclusion of a tag inside the jacket for writing your child's name, and the inclusion of multiple lines shows that this is a jacket intended to be worn and handed down, which is always nice to see. All-in-all, as one might expect from something REI is putting their own name on, this jacket seems to be a well thought out and designed kids jacket, and one that I would happily buy another of when he grows out of this one.

This fleece toddler jacket is perfect for my 3 yr old. I love how soft and light the material is on her skin and that I can layer with a thicker jacket over or even a long sleeve underneath. It fits like other fleece jackets that have a thin cuff that are easy to roll up when needed. I would say the fit is wide compared to other jackets but it does not hinder my judgement to buy smaller sizes. I went with a 4T for my little one who is currently in a 4T (39 inches tall and 32 lbs). If you need a warm and durable jacket, this is my go to for my little ones!
