Mountain Hardwear  Polartec High Loft Jacket - Men's

I wear a mens shirt size of 16 with 33 34 inch sleeves depending on the shrink of the material. I have a 6 year old large MH Polartec jacket and if fits a bit loose and the sleeves come to the tip of my palms when zipped all the way up. The medium is a more normal fit, less loose in the middle and the sleeves come to the top of my knuckles. I would agree with with other reviewers these run on the large size and if a fit like the one in the catalog image is desired the medium is the one to get for the shirt size listed. This is a very nice fall camping jacket, it is warm and makes for a soft pillow once n the sleeping bag.

I received this Monkey Fleece as a gift in 2012. I use it religiously on a daily basis and is the best Fleece I have owned. It's great in any condition. It wicks well and retains heat like no other. It's great as a stand-alone, mid to cold temperature jacket. If it's raining or snowing, simply through a waterproof lay on and you are set. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves to hike, snowshoe, ski, snowboard, sail and etc. I don't have an allegiance to brands but I have to say Mountain Hardwear has never disappointed me and will keep purchasing their products. I wear this jacket and the matching pant before or after an active pursuit to preserve warmth. When wearing this suit in a cold chilly pre-dawn morning before a 5K run, it can make a difference because the chill can slow me down as I get ready to head out. When I wear this suit I stay warm and am able to focus. After the run, I put this on and stay warm, while the fabric allows my body to dry out slowly and not feel the chill. Also, it has just enough pockets for a pair of gloves, beanie, phone, or headlight.

I currently own a red monkey man jacket and wear it all winter long. I needed another one for the times when I have to wash the first one. This is my third monkey man. My first one was purchase 20 years ago and I wore it until it fell apart. These are great jackets. Soft, warm, and cozy. I am 6' 3", 180 lbs., with a slender (small framed) body and longish arms and legs. Mediums are usually to short in the arms and a large is too big in the body. The medium jacket fits me perfectly. Please do not change the style.

This jacket is super light weight and super warm. I live in the south where it’ll be freezing in the morning and very comfortable by midday. The sleeves are easily pulled up to give more breath ability and keep your core warm. Very light weight and flexibility is no problem. It’s not as furry as the old monkey man jacket, but better. Wind will sometimes pierce through, but otherwise a great go to in chilly to cold weather. As long as your dog doesn’t eat your zipper it’s very durable.

Just received mine. Men's Polartec® High Loft™ Jacket | 430 | Large | Color: Moon Blue, Black Basically just what I needed/wanted/expected in terms of material and overall fit through the body. I am 5'-9", 188 lbs. My only complaint is the excessive sleeve length of this garment. I believe myself to be normally proportioned. The sleeves on this design are easily 3 inches/7.6 cm longer than they need to be. Perfect for a chimpanzee or gibbon ape! Not so much for Homo sapiens americansus.

I bought this jacket for my husband as a replacement to the Mountain Hardwear jacket he had for around 14 years that was stolen. Obviously, the exact style he had is no longer made but this is the closest. He LOVED that jacket and when I gave him this one he was ecstatic. It’s a perfect fit and he loves it! I’m sure this one will last a long time but I think I’ll buy a backup just in case this one goes missing. It’s worth it!

This fleece is right on time. I purchased it for, well, conditions when you'd want a fleece! It does everything I expected and has the top notch materials, features, and construction we've come to expect from Mountain Hardwear products! My only warning is to make sure the arm length works for you before you buy. I'm 6'3", with arms to match. I had to return an XL and get a L due to extra long sleeves. I have a hooded Ghost Whisperer 2 in XL, fits perfectly; all my other upper body gear from other companies is XL. The sleeves on the XL Monkey Man fleece came down to the middle knuckle on my middle finger! The photos here on the website show, in my opinion, a slightly longer than normal sleeve. The sleeves on this fleece came down about four inches further than I was expecting. Keep this in mind, order accordingly, and all your friends will have fleece envy!

I love Monkey Man jackets. This is my third one. It’s lighter then the last one, and it seems to keep me just as comfortable in the cold. I routinely wear my jacket everywhere during the winter and I stay the perfect temp no matter if I’m inside or out in 20 degree weather. Once the wind picks up I simply layer a rain shell over it and I’m good all winter. Which says a lot since I live in MN.
