Altra  Torin ST Road-Running Shoes - Women's

I bought two pairs of this style in different colors within a couple months of trying them. I bought the first pair at a local store after trying a number of styles. The next day I walked 2.5 miles in the Torin ST and knew they were perfect for me. I LOVE the zero drop, and the gentle support keeps my feet perfectly aligned. While the toe box is a little wide for my narrowish feet, experimenting with different socks helps. But the zero-drop contributes immensely to stability even if the shoe seems slightly wide. I would appreciate a little more arch support, but I am not complaining and would buy this same shoe forever. I cannot overstate the benefit of zero drop for stability, posture, and structural balance in the body, and the level of cushion is just right.

Solid running shoe, I normally wear a wide but the toe box is perfect without being a wide. Highly recommend

I was looking for something that provided more support around mid feet arch and heel support as in other Altras my feet kept sliding and felt loose around my feet and somehow giving me callous on the side of my feet. This was recommended to me for these reasons by one of the reps in the website chat, and reading the description it sounded great, but when I received it, turns out the boxed toes aren't exactly boxed toes, they are a bit more narrow than usual Altras, so they're definitely a bit tight around the toes and they still don't feel very supportive in the areas I was looking for more support, my feet still slide in these and no arch support and the heel collars are bit low and shoes come off when trying to run or do mountain climbers. So definitely disappointed. When I first started wearing Altra's I was recommended Riveras by Podiatrist and they were great, my feet felt great, but once Riveras changed to something else satisfaction went downhill from there, that's when my feet problems, especially callous started again.

Altra Running’s site is so difficult to use that if I manage to purchase a pair of shoes it will probably be my last Altra Running purchase.

Comfy shoe, fits well, I always wear a 6 1/2. It needs a bit more padding on the ball of the foot for my old feet for comfort

Someone might say Torin ST runs small. I say the sizing is incorrect. Altra; do better.

I've been running in the Paradigms, and recently switched to the Torin ST about 2 months ago. I ordered a half size up to start, as I don't have a place I can buy altras in person near me. I'm glad I did as i wouldn't have had enough space from my toes to the tip of the shoe if I stuck with my normal size. I thought these would be alright, however now I feel like the height of the top of the shoe just isn't enough room. I had to play with the lacing significantly, to the point where i have *just* enough lace to tie my shoe with a heel lock. I run on really hilly roads, and after just 2 months of mild running ive developed some runners toe, in a weird spot on my toes which really only can be attributed to the height of the toe box causing a pressure point. Never had this issue with the Paradigm, which wore a 9 in, and these STs I have a 9.5. Really disappointed these were supposed to be a replacement for the paradigm and the sizing is so off it caused injury for me. I don't think I could have been able to prevent this with a different sizing either as I have enough space between my toes and the tip of the shoe, but its the height of the shoe that seems to be the issue. Looks like these will be transitioned to just a walking shoe and I will need to find a different option for running.
