I only wear good trail runner-type shoes and prefer GTX in the winter because wet or snowy conditions dictate them around here. My feet are a little different from each other and the Topos I’ve tried feel better, coming from many years of Salomon, and Altras for the past few. The Ultraventure 4’s are good summer shoes for me. The Terraventures are a lot more supportive and feel as good as it gets. Remarkably they are very light for the extra stiffness over the Ultraventures. Noticeably less cushy than the UV’s but that’s a good thing when slippery happens. They work fine with my custom insoles. If any problems come up, I’ll revise the review.
