Had to return 1st one, 2nd not any better

Im a LEO and work 13.5 hour shifts, on hot days the ice does not last. The 1st one I purchased started sweating on the outside with a week of buying it. Returned it to Yeti. The 2nd is no better, ice doesn’t last and same issue. Im a huge Yeti fan and own at least a dozen Yeti products, very disappointed in this one. Should have just bought the stainless steal jug, ice lasted in that one for 2-3 days at a time.

Awesome!

So yes it’s not metal no it doesn’t stay cold as long as the rambler BUT it’s light weight and if you treat it like a yeti cooler (which it is pretty much the same double wall design) and pre cool it with ice then I’ve found it to stay cold much longer. That said again it’s not the rambler if you’re going to be in direct sun or good old Texas heat all day this probably isn’t the one for you and you should try the rambler that’s also equally awesome.

A half-gallon jug, a gallon of disappointment!

I purchased this jug and now I have a chronic case of PPSD, Post Purchase Stress Disorder. I only give it one star because that's the least one can give. To say this item doesn't deserve to wear the YETI logo is an understatement. The only YETI-ish feature is the superb quality of the lid. Perhaps it's me. I've been spoiled by the all-day hot and cold performance of my YETI Rambler and tumblers so expecting this model to perform similarly was a mistake on my part. I'll close with a buyer beware warning: Stay with the metal YETIs if you want to keep your hots hot and your colds cold - this one will only serve to disappoint you. If mine wasn't customized, I'd return it for refund or exchange.

My new fave

I am a yeti junkie. I own 100s of yetis. I have almost everything made by yeti and I rarely write reviews because all yeti products are 5 star in my mind but this is different. I hesitated to buy this silo jug because of the reviews. I do hot yoga almost everything day and need a large jug to stay cold through 120 degree heat for several hours. The reviews suggested it did not stay cold but I really wanted a lighter water jug so I bought it. It’s my new favorite. It easily handles being in a hot room for several hours as long as you put enough ice in it. I LOVE the cap. It’s easy to get on and off, has an easy lock and flips up for a drink with a finger. I recommend it highly

Same ol’ Yeti, Newer and Lighter!

Wow! Love how this is 2lbs lighter than the older all steel version! I travel for a living and the extra 2lbs in my checked in bag has been a lifesaver. Not to mention when it’s full of ice and water. Not as he’s y to carry. Speaking of ice! I’ve noticed that my water stays cold all day long and even into the next day!! I fill up this jug 2x a day and I live the new version!

Love my venom color

Works great weighs way less than my steel 1 gal jug and I am loving the sip cap. If you like ice cold just remember to sacrifice some ice and pre chill just like the coolers.

Horrible cooler

This thing does not keep anything cool. Ice melts quickly. I even tried putting it in the fridge with ice and still melts away. Water is barely cool. Horrible.

Light weight

I love the light weight of this jug, but it does not hold ice like the metal ones. That’s the only reason why I can’t give it 5 stars.
