Good construction, not great design
Good quality construction and performed fine on a recent rainy two week canoe trip. Only three stars because it’s not light - I bought the Gold Camp 3 tarp and footprint then added the mesh inner. All together they’re far too heavy at 8-1/2 pounds to consider a backpacking tent. Also, using the inner makes it pretty much a solo setup. Two people can fit but it would be very cramped. The center pole seems like a good idea but in reality it kind of gets in the way. I’m 5’-10” and was unable to stand up to dress. Also there’s no way to support it using a rope rather than the center pole as advertised if you’re using the tarp as well. Lastly, the stakes are not substantial enough for windy conditions without placing a rock on top of them.
Good quality and can be used with a mega mid pyramid tent.
I bought this mesh liner hoping to pair it with my BlackDiamond mega mid. It fits and I'm very happy. The quality of the Gold Camp 3 is spot on. I haven't camped with this set uptoo much snow where I live.
Not great
Well made but the vestibule cot makes this a 1.5 tent
Mesh liner
Great quality like all my experiences with Big Agnes
