Great shelter, but watch your step

We've only used this tarp a handful of times, but each time it has held up in full day torrential downpours and has provided a nice little hangout under the hatch of our Ford Transit Connect even in miserable weather. It's an attractive design and it was very easy to set up. The only thing that could be improved (at least for my family) is that the guy lines are brown and non reflective and blend in with the ground. They are also invisible at night. This has caused every person in my family to trip over them at least once, with my 2 toddlers having incidents on an hourly basis. I'm planning to switch them out for something neon and reflective for our next camping trip. Other than that, it's been great.

Great, as long as it's not windy

Works as described, creates a large shade area next to your vehicle with pretty minimal setup. The carrying case is a nice size and includes all the necessary lines and stakes, and the pole. The straps attach easily to the vehicle, and there is some flexibility to how it can be setup (I tried out attaching it to the roof rack of my pickup truck, both over the bed and perpendicular to the cab, as long as the straps have somewhere to attach and the lines and pole can reach the ground, it works fine). The only drawback is that while the lightweight material is nice when it comes to carrying it, it makes it really difficult to setup by yourself if there is even a slight breeze (like even just a couple miles per hour). I spent more time fighting the tarp and trying to keep it from wrapping around the car in the wind than actually setting it up, but I'm sure doing it with two people, or even just a little more practice doing it solo it wouldn't be too bad. But for now I'm exclusively using it on windless days.
