Features

  • Center knobs are all heavily ramped to minimize drag, but they retain sharp, flat edges along their backs to provide strong braking traction
  • Small sipes give the knobs additional flexion, increasing their surface area during braking and aiding the transition to the edge blocks when cornering
  • A distinct channel along either side of the center knobs, along with ample spacing between all lugs, helps to clear debris
  • 3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest-rebounding rubber offered by Maxxis in a mountain bike tire
  • DoubleDown (DD) is the Maxxis casing solution for enduro racing and e-bike use
  • 2 layers of lightweight 120 tpi casing material are combined with a butyl sidewall insert to create a highly durable tire with more trail feedback than a Downhill casing tire
  • Recommended use in dry to loose trail conditions
  • Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and profile for modern, wider rims
  • WT (2.4–2.5 in.) tires are optimized for a 35 mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30–35 mm, depending on the rider's preference
  • Compared to tubes, tubeless-ready tires have the ability to run at lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance; and less chance of flatting
