Not for long walks/hikes
While the Salomon XA Pro offers legendary rock stability and underfoot protection, the breathability is a massive drawback. The heavy synthetic overlays and thick chassis create a 'sauna effect' that traps sweat, leading to severe skin maceration after an all-day hike. If you run hot or hike in warm climates, your feet will end up looking like they've been soaked in a bathtub for hours.
