I purchased this light about a month ago and it has been phenomenal. I could not believe how bright it was. One of the main reasons I purchased it is because you can purchase additional brand name rechargeable batteries. With a light this bright it will need some juice, at max that is. When used even on mid-level it last a while. I do handyman jobs which works great but I truly purchased it to use while I'm tattooing. It's incredible, I can literally see the ink saturating the skin. I normally have to bring a very large light for tattooing but I can get the job accomplished with just this light alone, and a couple spare that is. It has exceeded my expectations. Thank you all so very much for a quality product. It even has a very strong magnet attached to it perfect for under the car hood work as well. I even dropped it once, not a scratch, built like a tank of pure quality.
I recently received my new Coast WPH32R Headlamp. I’ve been a long time Coast user so I’ve come to expect a certain level of quality and reliability. This new headlamp doesn’t disappoint! Here’s some of my highlights: - It’s extremely BRIGHT for such a compact device! - Frees up your hands for other tasks. - The Coast ZX850 (3000mAh) battery lasts forever! - Looks and feels like it’s made out of high quality materials. - It’s water and dust proof (IP68 Rating) - Very easy to quickly cycle between the 6 light modes. - Multi-Use without sacrificing features. (Headlamp, Flashlight, Magnetic Work Light) - USB-C Charging on the headlamp AND the battery. The removable head strap is very comfortable and easy to adjust. It’s got a quick release clip and is highly visible at night. With the head strap being removable you can quickly change it between a headlamp and a normal flashlight. The addition of a magnetic base also makes it the perfect work light. The magnet is extremely strong so there’s no fear of it falling off once it’s attached.

Getting away from disposable batteries is the best thing from a user and environmental standpoint. In the past I would opt out of using my flashlight because I didn’t want to use up the batteries. With Coast rechargeable batteries you never need to worry about stocking up on batteries again.

The Coast WPH32R is the perfect addition to our Hurricane supplies and I would highly recommend it to all my friends and family.
We live on a small hobby farm out in the country, It get DARK out here. This headlamp showed up right before a big (12+ inches) snow storm. I thought it would be a perfect test. The headlamp has multiple modes and I was able to test a few out. The headlamp performed flawlessly. Before the storm, I charged the headlamp. The charging port is protected under one of the side covers. You unscrew the cover and then plug the USB-C into a wall charger. I thought the idea of having the charging port protected when not is use was great. Too often charging ports get dirty and then the unit is useless. Having a rechargeable battery is also nice. I did not run out of power using the unit for hours. The first task was moving snow, The end of our driveway is 400 feet away from the house and although we have a yard light, during a blizzard that light does not get close to the road. I used the spot light to light the path and the focused beam cut through the dark and snow great. Things were going well until a shear pin broke. I used the flood lamp to light the area of the unit that needed attention. I had to replace the shear pin. I was able to flood he area with light and once I determined what needed to be done, I was able to magnet the headlamp to the snow-thrower and make the repair. I did use the combo light and it too did a great job cutting through the snow and darkness. I did not use the red light mode, but I am looking forward to testing it out with early walks to the turkey hunting blind this spring and the deer stand in the fall Bottom Line: This is a high quality headlamp that will provide light around the "farm" and in the woods.
I have many headlamps from many different manufacturers and this is by far the best one I’ve ever used. Most people might consider headlamps for minor task lighting only but this thing goes way beyond that. While it does have a low task lighting option, it also has spot and flood modes that rival high end tactical handheld flashlights that are 3x the cost. It might be a little heavy for all applications but the weight to brightness/durability/battery life ratio is very good. The removable mount and side magnet are also very cool.
I tried out the WPH32R to see how well it worked for my needs. It is the second coast product I have used. What I can say is it is an awesome headlamp. The brightness of the beam is unparalleled and can help you see your work closeup, around your campsite at night or up to 2 blocks down the trail in the dark. The extremely long battery life makes it a great choice for people who dream of hiking long trails. The ease and convenience of the rechargeable battery is great. You won't be disappointed with this light.
If you are a sportsman, homeowner, or mechanic this is a must have. The headband is super comfortable. The selection of light types is impressive. I can choose what type of light I need, when I need it. Need to flood an area? Check. Need a red light to not lose your night vision? Check. Need a dim light to find your way around the house during a power outage and not stub your toe? Check. The magnet is super strong and stayed where I placed it. Great battery life.

This head lamp really impressed me. Immediatly I could tell it was well made, just by the feel. A little bit heavy but I feel that this thing is build like a tank. Very bright!
Excellent design and size, it doesn't weigh, I can bring it for 2 hours without remembering that I have it on
This light gets the job done period. I am a trucker and my day starts like most of the guys and gals in this profession... Early , like 3am 4am early . So I'm starting my day with a pre trip inspection of my truck and trailer this is always on the dark of course and I have used flashlights but never a headlamp style light until this product. I will say the ability to have both hands free and the fact that the light can adjust to wherever your eyes are pointing your getting illumination, well that is a game changer. I tried it out for almost 2 weeks before leaving this review. At first I thought this product is too heavy out the package and no way will it be comfortable while wearing or for that matter for an extended period of time . I WAS WRONG . The product feels amazing on your head and the grip although somewhat breathable still holds its grip and the weight is unnoticeable almost entirely you forget your wearing it save for the fact that you have laser light focus on any projects you may have to undertake in the void of light. This is a bad motor scooter my friends and I cannot believe I have lived this long without ever owning a headlamp style light . If you want to convert, my advice is just do it I have no regrets and of course I will still maintain a standard handheld flashlight 300txr in my arsenal but this for sure has replaced it as my EDC and the charging port is as sleek and sexy as youd expect from our favorite Family of flashlights they don't disappoint. And the fact it can detach and be placed almost anywhere with the little magnet fester is almost overkill. My other flashlight became jealous almost immediately as it probably knows it may not see the outside of my tool bag for some time now . This light covers it all with it's strength and brightness along with the modes and versatility it's built solid you can feel that much when you unbox it for the first time and hold it in your hands , it just feels like the heft that screams good quality. The battery life is well I haven't had to charge it yet so I can say I am impressed there also. There are other headlamps from Coast I'll probably look into later but for now this satisfies all my basics .5 stars I love my new EDC companion
